She didn't travel to Speakeasy often, preferring to stay in carna territory for the simple fact that it was her haven. People in general got one her nerves and drunks she had no time for. The fact of the matter was she wanted information and drunks were the easiest to take advantage of. To some their gossip was nothing more that idle chat. Not worth the time it took to get it and this was where they were wrong. This idle chat was almost always about a person, know something about a person and you can hold it over their heads. Rip everything they know to shreds, throw them in a gutter and leave them to die. Her brother had learned this lesson well. They had come full circle and she was in this hellhole.
Her feet were propped up on the table as she allowed herself to relaxed and take in the sights and sounds of the place. There was a dice game in the corner and and few patrons were playing poker across the room. For the moment everything was calm. As calm as a room full of drunkards, pickpockets and gamblers could be. A large man block her line of sight, his buddies siding up next to him" You want a drink sugar? Be happy to get ya one." His advance was laughable at most. " Not really, though, I would love if you would get out of my line of sight. Your spoiling the view." The man frowned and moved away while his buddies, who were obviously trying to hold back laughter, followed.
She wasn't sure what brought him to her attention. Maybe it was the hair or the way he held himself. Either way she had noticed him and was surprised. Last time she checked he had been counted dead, but it seemed the keepers had taken him. Course she could be wrong about who he was. She doubted it. This was going to be fun. She stood, weaving her way through the crowd she came upon him. It was indeed, Soren she smiled and her hand rested on his shoulder. " Soren! What a pleasant surprise. Didn't think I would find you here of all places. Tell me what are you doing nowadays?"
There was a malicious spark in her eyes. She would not physically harm him but she would think about if she wanted to bring his world crashing down around his ears. He had done nothing to her, but she was bored. After all the idle mind was the devil's playground.
