CRYSTAL KELLY HALL
This is a woman you do not want to piss off. When you look at her face all you can see is hatred from a miserable person. If anyone gives her a funny look due to her appearance it is best advised to never look at her again. Patience was a virtue Crystal doesn't possess in any form. Crystal takes everything seriously and dives herself into being a Warrior in the Nakoma to distract herself from her racing thoughts. Any silliness or laziness is something she has no time for and will snap easily on them to lecture them on how important filling their role in the Nakoma is. Even though she is not a nice person Crystal will still look out for her fellow Nakoma to keep them safe.
By some chance you're able to get past her 'steel walls' to protect herself from being hurt again Crystal seems to be a decent person. Making her laugh is extremely difficult for anyone to do. Any person that can actually do that Crystal more than likely enjoys that person's company. People tend to think she is introverted since she does not speak too often. Crystal just finds it pointless to talk if it is not about something useless or important. One thing for sure is that she is extremely loyal to the Nakoma. Never has she left the Nakoma territory and more than likely never will.
Crystal grew up in an average home. They're family was not on the wealthy side, but they were neither living in poverty. Only for a short while did she actually grow up in Jamaica. Not too long after she turned four years old the entire family moved to South Florida due to a job offer their Father received. While her Father worked Crystal's Mother was a Stay At Home Mother. In age difference here was no far gap since they were conceived almost one right after the other. This allowed Crystal and her siblings to become close. Of course as children they bickered constantly, fought over silly things, and wanted to kill each other.
Around 8 years old Crystal and her entire family went to a beach to just relax and kick back. All of her siblings and her Mother went to fetch food for them to eat leaving her alone in the water while her Father dozed off on a lawn chair. The tide began to change and without noticing for a little bit Crystal had started drifting out farther than she planned. It dawned on her that no matter how hard she tried to swim back to shore that she was still being pushed outward toward the sea. Crystal began to scream as loud as possible to catch the attention of her Father. Without prevail he did not hear her and she was certain that she was going to drown. A 12 year old boy came out of nowhere and snatched her up while swimming sideways to get out of the current. The unknown boy brought her back to shore and as she realized that she almost died Crystal became hysterical and latched onto the boy for support. A minute later her Mother came running up to her and the boy, Darrell, questioning loudly what happened and why was she holding onto a strange boy. Quickly Darrell began to explain the situation of what happened to Crystal in the ocean. Her Mother went from angry seeing an unknown boy holding her child to extremely grateful that he just happened to be there to save her child. Crystal's Mother, Mae, thanked him over and over again. When the Darrell's parents came over to see what was happening Mae explained what happened as well. The boy's Father gleamed with pride for his son's bravery and after talking for awhile Mae exchanged numbers with the boy's parents so they could chat more. Within a short amount of time they became friends of the family and visited each other quite often.
Darrell had a sister named Christina that was Crystal's age and instantly after meeting each other Crystal became best friends with. They were always seen together doing practically everything with each other. People started thinking they were twins at one point. Eventually Crystal confessed to her best friend that she had a major crush on her older brother, Darrell. It was obvious that Darrell had a crush on Crystal since every time he was around her he would get nervous, stumble over his words, and pretty much make a fool of himself. With a little coaching from Christina he finally got the courage to ask Crystal out on a date. So, at 17 they began dating slowing becoming each other's High School sweetheart. Not too long after Crystal turned 20 Darrell proposed to her. Without any hesitation she said yes. The wedding was beautiful and turned out exactly how Crystal wanted it. To be able to marry the love of her life, have her best friend be her maid of honor and become her sister in law, and to have her entire family attend made it perfect. Both Crystal and Darrell wanted to start a family as soon as possible and at 22 Crystal gave birth to a healthy baby girl that they named Monique after Darrell's deceased Grandmother.
Right after Crystal's daughter turned one years old Crystal and her sister-in-law got into an argument over something petty. With so much emotion into it Crystal shifted for the first time. Christina screamed as it happened since it was not as if Crystal shifted into a harmless animal. Coincidentally, Christina was extremely afraid of snakes. When Crystal managed to finally shift back she tried to calm Christina down, but it was no use. Christina stormed out of the house leaving huge tension floating in the air. A few days later Crystal heard a loud boom from the entrance of her home waking her up from sleep. Everything seemed like a dream as everything became chaotic so fast. All Crystal remembers from being captured was her daughter crying and her husband yelling. When both her parents found out about it they marched down to get their daughter back. They were ruthless to her parents and killed both of them.
The Keepers decided to do experiments on her. Crystal felt agony through all of it and begged God to kill her as soon as possible. What was more painful to her was that she knew she was never going to see her husband and daughter again. All of the tests went on so long that she just started to disassociate through all of it. When Crystal woke up from the final test they completed on her she remembered them yelling with excitement saying, "We did it!" Squirming through the restraints hoping to get up Crystal felt something was different. Looking down her legs were no longer there. Crystal screamed and looked with horror as her legs were now the tail of a snake.
Years passed in the Menagerie and the only thing keeping her alive was the rage fueled by everything that happened to her.
