It had been a long time since Maegan had found herself with time to relax. The keepers had pulled her back in for more testing recently. Nothing extensive, and she was surprised to find herself feeling better for the testing. Recently back in the Nakoma territory, she began to realize her lack of knowledge of the area. She had been gone so many times that she hardly knew where anything was. Despite the snow, it was time for some exploring. Maegan wrapped herself in the not-quite-warm-enough jacket she still had from her boxing days oh so many years past. It had never been the best winter jacket, but her slight bit of fur and use of her electricity skills helped the jacket be more useful. Feeling a bit warmer, Maegan set off to explore the Nakoma lands.
She thought the best course of action would just be to follow the river--she knew that was a big part of the Nakoma territory, and perhaps a good place to start. Making note along the way, Maegan traipsed the edge of the more-stream-than-river all the way along the path. Tiptoeing along the high walls that bordered much of this river through the Nakoma District was just a normal walk for the lemur anthro with a tail and enhanced balance.
It didn't take long for Maegan to come across the branch of the river that lead to the hollow. Something about this seemed familiar. It then occured to her that, of course, the Nakoma had taken over the old Bestia land and expanded it a bit. She knew the junkyard well, but these other places had been the outskirts of the Bestia territory she had known. Maegan took a moment to pause and run her hand along the frosty tree roots that had overtaken the walls of this little pond haven. A smile crossed her face, Life finds a way, she thought. A shiver ran down her back as she realized she had lost focus on using her electricity skill gently to create heat. Maegan rubbed her hands together and pulled the wraps from her jacket pockets. A bit of movement would help warm her up and judge how she was actually doing post experiments, not to mention the extra layer on her hands would help too.
As she begun wrapping her hands, Maegan looked around taking in her surroundings. If she were to do this the right way, she'd need to let her guard down for a short amount of time. With her surroundings scoped, given a green light, and hands wrapped, Maegan planted herself squarely near the frozen edge of the pond. She started with a bit of yoga, a modified sun salutation of sorts (modified mainly due to not wanting to be on the ground in the snow) to help with breathing and centering herself. Moving on from there she went through basic boxing moves, punching and kicking at the air in front of her, hopping between feet, generating energy and heat to keep her warm in the frigid Menagerie winter.

Fuleao Here's a Maegan post for you, hope it's something to work with. xD

The ache in Molly’s arms didn’t bother her nearly as much as the fact that they were aching. Not that she had any real reference for how far once should be able to carry a weanling lamb, but she felt certain plenty of people would not have had to set him down as much as she had. Clinton wasn’t even being difficult right now, for once. He just dangled in her awkward hold, keeping still and not making noise.
It would have been so much easier to carry him across her second back, right behind her torso. Possibly she would have even been able to manage her keeper-amped speed like that. But travel time had become less important once the strength issue had arisen, and since then she’d been doggedly carting the sheep in her arms. As a small upside, she’d figured out how to bind through the snow, instead of having to flounder, despite the extra weight to her already-unbalanced forehand.
Things had worked out pretty well with the little guy. Upon finding him, Molly had lugged him home and tried to hand him over to Jacinda. The cook had laughed, immediately noticing her shining eyes and thick voice had made everything very clear to the woman. Embarrassing, but she was still so glad that she didn’t have to give the little guy over to be supper. She’d asked so many times that it really was okay, enough to even irritate Jacinda a little. She’d probably been on the brink of cooking antelope for supper and sending the sheep off to train with the apprentices instead.
By the time she reached the pond, she was barely keeping Clinton up. She quickly shuffled the last few feet and then almost fell onto her stomach to deposit the weight. A wet cold spread across her belly and legs, and she cursed her inability to bend at the waist while holding heavy objects without faceplanting. With her arm she wiped clean a swath of grass, then stood quickly, shaking the aching limbs and once again bemoaning their puniness.
Clinton pulled at his halter at first, but when that proved futile, he settled to grazing. Molly pulled up a handful of grass for herself and stood. Out of habit she started scanning her surroundings, and immediately realized she should have paid more attention when she arrived.
At least she’d gotten good at holding in screams, even if it did make fright even more painful. It would have just made things more awkward here; after her initial flail, Molly realized the person nearby was an anthro. Someone from the tribe, she thought, though she wasn’t sure what name wend with that ringed tail. Perhaps it would be best to say hello…but her voice wouldn’t really come out, and the longer she paused, the more awkward it seemed to say hi. So she left it. It would be fine. A trained-up person like this woman would no doubt have already noted Molly’s presence, and since she had given no acknowledgement, she probably wanted to be left to her exercises.
And so Molly studied the trees, the water, her sheep, chewing intently on her grass. Any time her gaze strayed to the long-tailed woman, she snapped it over to something else. But the peeks grew more frequent, and finally she allowed herself to watch, alert for any sign the lady might catch her.
