MIMIYA Hayik s'dorian
Mimiya has always been a ham for attention. Mimiya was given her name because she would mimic other creatures; do tricks for attention. The flashing lights of cameras snapping pictures, the laughter of human children--all of that was everything Mimya could want.
She is selfish--she does not take well to sharing the limelight. Mimi has a very dark, angry streak within her personality; one that does not make itself known too often. She holds grudges, and will wait for an opportune moment to act upon those grudges, and when she does act upon them, it is usually quite sneaky--and violent.
Her trust level is very, very low. Mimiya does not trust--nor does she show emotion; or rather, she tries to keep everyone at a distance. She displays herself as a sociopath--and will carry out any kind of order against her own family, her own kind, so forth. However, in reality, she is anything but a sociopath. Her ability to follow orders and compartmentalize is slowly driving her insane.
The effects of her compartmentalizing can be seen in the way she acts. She will count under her breath, murmur random facts--and she does not sleep; not really. She sleeps light, always prepared for a fight--always prepared to run. She has OCD tendencies, and will often act upon them (especially after a fight). Mimiya cannot handle messes. She cannot handle disorder.
Everything needs to be constructed perfectly, which is why, she'll often bide her time when doing a job that is requested of her.
Southeastern Asia was home to the S'Dorian clan of dholes, a family grown of interbreeding and the wilderness. Samiyn and M'nora led the S'Dorian family, until they didn't. Poachers entered the jungle, they raided the S'Dorian compound--a complex mess of dens and interconnecting homes. These raiders found the newest S'Dorian litter; the only litter of Samiyn and M'nora (as a couple). While they had killed many of the grown dholes, as they were too aggressive--too prepared to die for their colony, they took the pups.
However, only two pups survived the transport. They'd just been born. Fayne and Mimiya would be found curled up together, crying for food--while their other two siblings, Kirrick and Harrien, lay dead in the back of the large crate they had been loaded into. Mimiya and Fayne were sold to the highest bidder--an Asian zoo, who really did not care where they had come from.
Once living within the Asian zoo, the two dhole pups were taken under the wing of an elderly dhole, who was the only surviving dhole in captivity, aside from the pups. Hasse Clonda was her name--and she taught them how to survive in their pseudo wild habitat.
When Fayne and Mimiya reached sexual maturity, at the age of two, they were expected to breed--they were torn from their habitat with Hasse, and placed into a 'breeding habitat'. It was not too long before instinct took over--and then, a new line of S'Dorian's were born.
Emme came first, with Anne right behind her--too close behind. Anne did not receive the attention she needed from her mother; and this led to her growing too cold before Mimiya was finished cleaning her; and though she had a chance, Fayne killed the pup before Mimiya could attempt to save her. Then, came Krystali. The only male.
After the pups were born and weaned, Mimiya was transferred to the San Diego Zoo, in America, and Fayne was left with their pups. This is where Mimiya discovered her ability to shift. It happened during a great fright--when the male she was placed with fought her over the food she had been given by the zookeepers.
However, the only good thing was; nobody was around to see--and at that time, the dhole exhibit was not under observation. A year passed, and Mimiya practiced shifting at night--late at night; she enjoyed the feeling of power that passed through her; coursed through her. When she was placed back into the breeding pen, to be observed with her new mate, they fought--though not before he had bred her.
She was caught on camera shifting during her fight with Havis; who also shifted. She was quite surprised by this--however not too surprised. She was quick to back him into a corner--and when he lunged at her, she slammed him against a rock; meant to make them feel at home... Yet it proved to be Havis' death.
UNIT was called. She was a murderer in the zookeepers eyes; a hindrance. Even pregnant she was not able to stay at the zoo. She was taken and moved--and upon entering the Menagerie, she has fallen into place. As best she can, that is.
When her last child, named after her mother, M'nora, was born, she was taken from Mimiya--and she has not seen her since. It is speculated that M'nora was released back into the Menagerie after being studied, but is unknown. It is also unknown what happened to the rest of the S'Dorian's, once they learned Mimiya was a retromorph.
