Her cards had led her here to this place of new chances and a new future. The bag that held the cards swung in her mouth to the rhythm of her gait. Large lungs in her broadened chest sucked in air quickly and let it out just as fast, trying to keep up with her legs and keep them energized. A four beat rhythm echoed around her as she ran to the secluded express car. Amanda had ran through the hills and secret pathways that she changed daily so no one else would find it. Amanda was instructed to keep this place secret, and secret she would keep it. As a skilled medic, it was imperative. Even before becoming part of this ring, her cards told her to come here. A bag swung between her teeth as she ran down a hill with her hooves beneath her. In her shift form, she could cover more ground, more quickly, in order to get to her destination. The wind occasionally helped, but this time it blew the sand in her face as if to challenge her. Amanda ran past it like it was nothing until she finally got down to the ground where the train cars were. The train cars had been built up so that they could house other people. Amanda had her own car room and she was grateful for that. Since the whole shifting thing, Amanda has been on the run to avoid anyone hunting her down. Including her memories.
Walking up to the car, the wind continued to whip by her, screaming and threatening her with an upcoming storm. Before moving to shift, Amanda looked around before beginning her shift. The Hanoverian Warmblood form shift and rippled for a moment and when nothing else was shifting within her, Amanda stood up fairly naked and immediately pulled out a bag that had her clothes in a bag underneath the train car. The bag was just a pillow case that she pulled up from one of the chairs. Once she had her black t-shirt on and her jeans, Amanda picked up her little bag, which was a golden color with red Chinese vine line patterns, that carried her tarot cards within them. Amanda, instead of being a liver chestnut Hanoverian, was now this five foot six human girl with long brown hair and brown eyes, and glasses, also barefoot.
The door to the train car squealed as she walked in and hurried to her room. It was just to the right of the main entrance to the car. Inside the car, it was candlelit, the windows were boarded over even though sunlight still leaked through them, and the interior decorating had an old fashioned feel to it with the early century decor that remained untouched. Amanda liked the style of it as it slightly reminded her of home. A brief pause in her movement was made before she slinked off to her room.
Finding the door to her room, Amanda snuck inside and sighed heavily while she plomped down to her bed which was a bunch of pillows and sheets. Her room was also candle lit with boards over the windows. Though her room was a little more empty, at least she stole a lot of the throw pillows from the other pieces of furniture in the cars for her bed. They were fairly more comfortable with an old bed that risked having bugs in it. The last time she had bugs, she had scabs all over her skin and her pelt and it was not a pretty sight. At least for now she was cleaner than the last few days. As Amanda laid there, thoughts went through her mind while staring at the ceiling. The remnants of her wild sage she had plucked from the desert before stayed smelling in her room. The sage she used a lot for her meditations and her tarot reads. She also did tarot reads for other people of course, if they knocked on her door. But this time, her door was open. If anyone saw her walk in, the open door wouldn't stop them from saying hello, since she hadn't met anyone yet.
