She knew she had passed the border lands between Fulsi and Fallen when the cracked and grassy pavement gave way to dry earth before steadily transitioning into the sand of the desert. She trudged up the dunes as two blurs of fur went from trotting next to her, to chasing each other about, to rolling around in the sand; her voice quickly calling them back to her. She had thought of leaving the pups behind with her roommate while she went on this adventure, though they kinda tortured the poor girl as is (with stubborn love) and they really needed to get the exposure to moving around the different areas of the Menagerie. Since she eventually wanted them to be able to accompany (and help) on hunting parties, this would definitely help.
Off in her own thoughts she noticed her dogs change in behavior before she smelled the dusty telling on the wind of Fallen. She called her duo to her side and bade them stay as she slung the industrial wrench over her back into a makeshift sling she had made out of slender rope when she got tired of carrying it or needed both hands. She rose both hands in front of her in mock surrender as she let her gaze drift around her, wondering how the hell Fallen got so good at hiding in the middle of nowhere before she was struck on the back of the head and everything went black.
---
Coming to she blinked hazily as she turned her head this way and that hearing the two voices from before as she still felt the dry sand underneath her, though she was on her back now instead of her front and there were two furry bodies pressed to either side of her as she attempted to focus through the haze that was the pounding in the back of her skull. She felt one furry body laying still at her side, tail wagging softly -the other was still and yet every so often she felt a low rumble in their chest. They were stubborn as hell she knew, but they had become her babies. She attempted to move to sit up, her head pounding three times as hard as before in her skull, before she got herself into a sitting position, a low and sharp groan through gritted teeth was let out before she squinted open one eye.
"Di'n yur folks tea'cha tha surren'de eas when ya puht yur 'ands en dehair? Waht da ell is wron' in yur 'ead?" she said as her lips pulled into an unamused snarl, her sea green eyes narrowed into half slits before she spit off to the side, raising a hand to shake the dirt from her hair before she realized her pack and wrench were gone. Glancing around she heard the three men talking amongst themselves and spotted her things beyond them in a pile, her tool belt as well.
"Ah miss, I apologize for my ring mates behavior with smacking you upside the head. Too many occurances where people play on our better nature you see. But we have to ask you what you're doing on our land."
"Ah'm ere tah seeh Quick. Granted ah dun es'pect ya teh lemme go easy buht yeh can carry meh things and escort meh, bein teh gentlemen yah are." She grinned in a knowing fashion as they all looked at eachother before turning away from her once more. She rolled her eyes and lifted her hands to rub her pups heads, they're tongues lolling from the sides of their mouths as they panted with their canine smiles. The trio turned around decently quick enough to look at her, the same male speaking as before.
"We'll escort you to Fallen and we'll hang on to your things just as a precaution. I'm sure you understand," he said as he stepped forward to offer her a hand up. She shushed her pups and took the hand, nodding to him as she dusted her backside off and glanced to the pair who were picking up her things; the one who picked up the large wrench grunting a bit as he struggled to lift it up and over his shoulder. An amused chortle escaped her lips before she covered her mouth, the one who had helped her up spinning his finger around so she turned from him, her hands being pulled behind her back and cuffed with actual metal cuffs. She had to admit, as much as most others talked as if the Fallen were pushovers, they were definitely not to be underestimated. They were accepting, maybe naive, but not idiots.
She turned her head to look back at him as he secured her second hand, "oh babeh, why don'ya wait til weh geht som'ere pryvet?" She saw a flash of s grin before she was guided forward with a hand on her back, her dogs following along with her.
Once they got to the Fallen tracks she looked around as a few little kids started at her dogs, their eyes lighting with excitement as she looked to her dogs who whined and wagged their tails furiously at the thought of going to play with them. She was actually surprised at the control they had to not go run off by themselves though she figured the situation was a little more stressful for them; so they were behaving a bit more? She wasn't a dog trainer by any means so she didn't know. "Geit," she said and nodded her head to the children who called for them; they only gave one glance before bounding off.
The trio led her to a train car a little back but mostly in the center of everything and the one who led walked up the ramp and knocked on the door. "I dunno why s Fulsi would have business with our Alpha but-" "Woahwoahwoah... Alpha?!" she practically yelled as her eyes widened in surprise, the train car's door opening as if on que.
Ooc; finally done! ! ^_^;;
