Donnie opened his eyes, staring straight up as he lay flat in the sand. He laid there for awhile, several thoughts passing through his head. Should he start walking, yell for help, or try and smash the glass wall beside him? None of them seemed like good ideas, he knew he was caught and he knew there was probably little hope of escaping. The world didn't want him so he decided he didn't care for the world. He slowly sat up and took a look around. All he could see was vast dessert, every direction looking pretty much the same as the last. He figured it would be wise to be on guard from this point on, he didn't know what was caged in here with him. "Could be something a lot tougher than a black bear out there." He said silently to himself.
As he made his way through the dessert he had a hard time deciding if he was actually still going straight and that he hadn't been going in circles for the past several minutes. He was expecting a bit more than this, he thought he would at least run into another shifter or two by now, he knew that they've been rounding up shifters for a good couple years now so it would make sense for this place to be booming with population but he saw nothing, not even the shimmer of a mirage or the odd oasis here or there.
After hours of walking Donnie saw small camp, but the fire they had set up had long since burnt out, and it was surrounded by several logs. "Looks as good a place as any to stop." He was talking to himself to keep calm, he was a bit frightened by the idea of being alone in here. He walked over and sat down on the closest log and took the time to check his pockets but he couldn't find anything. "They even took my pocket lint those selfish bastards." He chuckled quietly. He was sitting and mumbling to himself, letting out the odd couple of laughs for about twenty minutes when he saw something in the distance, it appeared to be a person but it was hard to tell. He stood up and took a couple steps back, preparing himself to shift if a fight where to start.
