PERSONALITY ;; Calvin hardly has a personality, so to speak. He was changed by the Keepers and trained so that he would seem to have only one goal: to kill. He's eyes appear blank and he rarely shows any emotion at all. Some things fluster him, as he hasn't interacted with anyway since he was very young. If he finds things that connect to his past, he may get further enraged. This rage doesn't slow him down. Instead, it feeds his designed goal and he'll be found killer more than the usual. He wants to destroy anyone and everyone he sees. In his lessons, it's clear the Menagerie population has gone far too high and it's his job to eliminate the weak links. If anyone stands in his way, they are likely to be as dead as his victim would be.
He is no joke. He speaks rarely and when he does, he sounds more like a machine. In a way, that's sort of what he's like. It’s easy for others to forget that he actually is a person, and though he’s not sure what this life will be like for him, it doesn’t matter for him. He wasn’t made to be struggling about what might happen to him. It is possible that his expiration date is the following day, but he’ll go about his duty in the most strategic way. He’s never concerned with any problems, because he knows well that he’s designed to demolish all the weak links. Should there be someone he cannot beat, he knows it’s because the Keepers wanted that specimen to stay. It’s a stress-lacking life when he fully believes(as deep as a religion itself) that the Keepers will tell him what to do should there ever be an issue.
HISTORY ;;
The small child looked up with curiosity at the first face he saw, taking in her innocent, doe-like eyes and her child-like face, as pale and delicate as a star itself. He reached up and touched her face very softly. She looked startled and even hurt, as though his touch were like electricity. He watched her, waiting and anticipating. Something leaked from her eye and landed on his rosy cheek. In that very moment, the baby fell asleep. He could only dream and wonder about what that little drop of water was.
He couldn’t figure out what he did wrong. She was always sleeping. When she woke up, she’d struggle with her pain. He wasn’t sure what force had taken ill upon her, but he was sure it was his fault. It was why she was shivering, yet leading him through the snow into a world he had visited a few times before. He was going to see the green haired one. He did look up to him, but his life was with this girl. He watched them, anticipating and waiting. She fell. He held her. She struggled to her feet…and left.
He walked up to the man, holding his father’s hand and watching her disappear into the blizzard. He kept wondering over and over…just where he went wrong.
One minute he’d been fighting for his life. In the next moment, he was sure he was dead. He had been fighting Alkaos. He wanted to prove to his Alpha and his father(who was also his Beta) that he was worth it. He would be the best Carna ever, and he’d start by taking down the person they hated most. But how could you fight someone who could kill you in one swipe? He was sure that he was dead…
But no.
The tests were all painful. The child sobbed by himself when he could. When the people in the white jackets came back around, he would hold his breath. He’d be shocked to the mind and injected with all sorts of needles. When he became almost immune to the pain, he’d study the colors of the liquids and concentrate on the course of electricity through his body. Instead of being in a cage or room like the others experiments, he was trained with every day. He was getting faster, stronger, and smarter. They wanted him to be perfect for his job. He was taught every day of his duties. Not a second went by that he wasn’t vigorously exercised. Sometimes he would think of those fawn eyes somewhere in his memory, but eventually he could not remember the face that went with it. He was forgetting that touch…He was forgetting who he really was.
