| LET YOUR PURPOSE BE THE DOING OF GOOD DEEDS It had been a long time since Josh had ventured into Fallen Territory. Ultimately, it had been a long time since the thief had ventured anywhere. He had taken some time after the death of Manic to recoup. The man, however cruel, had been almost a brother to Josh despite the changes he'd seen Manic go through. Certainly this place was better off without him at the helm, but the revision in the ranks of the Carna meant that Josh lost his main ally and source of goods. It was something he had needed time to think through. Certainly he could get by on his own, but that was too difficult for him to imagine when it was potentially very easy to strike another deal with a ring leader.
It had taken him some time and thought to determine which ring to ally himself with for the time being. He had scratched Carna off the list early--he was all too aware that many there did not take kindly to his deal with Manic, but they weren't about to argue with the man that considered himself a god. Fulsi had been crossed out due to their tendency to flip flop on issues. If they couldn't keep their own priorities together, he wanted no part of them for the moment. He did regret the loss of easier access to their things, though. The Fulsi certainly had a lot of space and buildings to keep things, and without a semi-truce it would be harder to know where to look for what he wanted. He wasn't keen on the retro groups. The Nilda had allowed him to stay on their lands where he'd settled long before them in return for him helping them out occasionally, but he knew none of them favored shifters much and he didn't want to deal with that mess of a situation just yet.
The Nakoma were not quite strong enough for his needs yet, but he was very interested in them and their leader, Zephyr, who had come back from the dead to reform the anthro group. He saw the potential in them that few others did, and they were his main source of help these days. That fact helped lead him to the Fallen. He knew they were community and family oriented. He knew he could manipulate that fact a bit. And the fact that many things he would be reallocating would be going to their allies in the Nakoma was a plus.
After some thought on the matter Josh took to the skies toward the Fallen territory. He knew where to cause some trouble that would get the attention of the Fallen. His target destination was the Switchstone Express, a place many wouldn't be able to find. Josh, however, had the advantage of 8 years and the fact that he had helped with the creation of the Fallen and Fulsi (as part of his friendship with Manic). He knew more about the rings and where they kept things than he would ever divulge.
With grace Josh made a silent approach toward the door he knew to be closest to the Fallen Leader's space. He dropped his quiver and bow lightly in the snow, which he had carried in his talons with ease having perfected the method many years back--he didn't often fly with his weapons, but in this situation he had decided it would be best. Touching the ground softly in human form, having shifted while landing, Josh picked up his weapons and put them on, taking care to stay quiet about it until he was inside. He didn't need his cover blown early. He pulled a loose arrowhead, one he'd carved thin and sharp to help assist him in opening the door.
Once inside, Josh left the door open. Now was when he wanted others to be alerted to his presence. He looked around the room. One of his favorite things to do that would mess with someone's head and confidence was to simply touch their things. Josh took in the urbane nature of the furnishings. He had always admired how this run-down train could look so beaten on the outside, and yet still remain so pristine inside. He supposed that would probably be an excellent metaphor for something, perhaps the Fallen themselves? He wasn't too pressed to come up with a reasoning behind it.
Moving some papers here and there, turning some furniture over, with care--he did't want to ruin anything despite his thievish and trouble-making ways--Josh made his way through the room misplacing enough things that it would be obvious to Tomas whenever he was alerted to the break-in. Finally, with enough time, Josh came across what he had been really looking for--the key to one of the Fallen supply storage areas. Josh held the key with a smirk on his face and headed for the doorway. Taking a look around, Josh tilted his head and nodded slightly, hearing the footsteps of someone coming this way, still a bit too far to make out who it was, but he assumed a scout. Josh took a step out the door, ensuring the scout had seen him and shifted, holding his weapons in his talons, the storage key nestled securely into his quiver.
Josh made sure to fly a bit of a distance off to make the scout think he'd flown the coop with something, before turning back with care to notice the scout wouldn't see him land on the roof of the same car he'd broken into. Now all he had to do was wait. Using his beak and talons, Josh managed to get the get from his quiver and keep a hold on it in his talons to wait for the Fallen Leader to arrive. Josh made sure the man would not see him first as Josh was only going to reveal himself to the man once he had discovered what was missing, and the thick feathers of his Eagle Owl shift were sure to keep him warm in the meantime. It shouldn't be too long now...

KRISSLEE Here's a post. I made an assumption that some sort of Fallen storage would have a key, hope that's somewhat fitting. If not I can come up with something else. Yay Robin Hood DRAMAS! :3

To say that Tomas McKellar was stressed would be an understatement. He hardly slept and ate even less. He had never considered himself much of a worrier, perpetually living by the motto that "worrying never helps". He dealt with problems in any way that he could and then moved on from them but that was no longer an option. Red and Roma. Red worried him sick. He had just walked her to get some fresh air on the outskirts of Fallen and she had asked to be alone, to think. He had left her with a guard and began to the return journey to his train-car, lip held fast between his teeth, hands shoved deeply in his pockets as he indulged in a habit that he hated. It was bad form, to put one's hands in their pockets...
His thoughts were interrupted as he saw a cheetah crest the top of a dune and come barreling toward him. Tomas halted where he was at and the Scout came to a sliding stop right before him. He immediately began to talk in shiftertongue. "Sir, did you give anyone access to your train car?"
Red was the only one who was allowed free entrance to and from the car, and Tomas knew exactly where she was. He removed his hands from his pockets. "No, why?" The Scout, had he been human, would have visibly blanched. Even as a feline he twitched and glanced quickly away. "Someone was just seen exiting it with what looked like something--"
Tomas was immediately exasperated. "And you didn't stop them?"
"Well... no... we thought... it might have been the girl. She is allowed in and out whenever--"
"Did it look like the girl?"
"No..."
"Jesus. Get a search party out looking for them. Find whoever it was immediately."
Tomas shapeshifted and traveled the rest of the way at a brisk trot, returning immediately to his train-car. He clambered inside, barely reeling in his fury. It took all of his patience to remind himself that most of the scouts and hunters were teenagers or young adults who had very little experience with matters such as this. That did not change the severity of the situation.
He was immediately disgruntled to find so many of his belongings out of place. Tomas was a very well organized man. Everything in the train-car had a place and even the neatly arranged papers on his desk were in disarray, but only slightly. The perpetrator had taken the stack and subtly fanned it out. Tomas took the time to re-straighten them and in the process he realized that a very important possession was not in place.
The supply key.
He exhaled air sharply through his nose and about-faced, preparing to leave. He nearly jumped out of his skin to discover a stranger standing at the entrance of his train-car. Tomas swept his eyes down the frame of the man in one quick, curt gesture. He had no idea who the man was.
"With all due respect," Tomas began, his tone of voice barley reigning in his fury. "What kind of trouble are you trying to cause? Unless, of course, you didn't realize you were stealing from the Alpha of a Ring and sauntering around his house like you own the place...In case you didn't know, I'm Tomas McKellar." He was not some Carna boy. The name likely didn't evoke thoughts of terror. But he had come to be known for levelheadedness and a quick hand. The truth of the matter was that Tomas was very, very handy in a fight and that was the very reason he did not call for guards.
He had little tolerance for games that night. As he spoke he stooped to re-erect a chair that had been put on its side. He slammed the legs down in a gesture of clear discontent.
Despite his irritation, Tomas could not help but be mildly impressed. "Pleasantries aside, you have something that belongs to me."

| LET YOUR PURPOSE BE THE DOING OF GOOD DEEDS
It had taken a bit of time for the Leader to make his way back in, and Josh had just gotten comfortable waiting, so he was a bit disgruntled at having to move to continue with the reason he was here. He took a breath and let out an annoyed sigh while ruffling the snow from his feathers. Taking his weapons in talon, he launched himself lightly off the roof and let his weapons drop softly in the snow once more as he shifted while landing. Before heading in this time, Josh made sure to move the key to a more accessible location, stuck in one of the pouches on his belt. He also put his quiver around his back and hooked his bow on. Easily accessible as well and, more importantly, not drawn. He was not here in conflict, and he wanted that intent clear. Josh had brought the weapons in case the Fallen turned this to conflict, protection was everything here.
He took a few quiet steps toward the door and watched Tomas, in all his anger, trying to tidy his space and then suddenly realizing what was missing. Josh grinned, the anger was a side effect, and something that would hopefully dissipate soon. He took a relaxed stance in the doorway--knowing he'd be found soon enough. A grin still crossed his face as he leaned against the door frame, one foot crossed over the other, and arms crossed over his chest.
Josh had to applaud the man for speaking so calmly, relatively speaking, in such a situation. It was clear to him that this man was certainly fit to lead a ring, and he was reassured that perhaps he had made the right decision. Josh smiled at the words, he certainly knew who this was. He had every idea of what he was doing. With a grin, he moved his hand and looked down casually, playing with a trinket near the door while he spoke.
"I am well aware of you, Tomas. Well aware. I don't mean any trouble, really. Just needed to catch your attention. This is always the best way, I find." His British accent was strong today. Josh stopped playing with the trinket and looked back to Tomas with a smile still on his face. This was what he loved, a troublemaker at heart. He moved slightly further into the room, moving a few things back into place in the process and holding back a laugh at the slam of the chair. Approaching Tomas's desk, Josh moved a chair into place where he could sit lazily and put his feet up on a clear corner of the Leader's desk.
Josh pulled the key from the pouch on his belt as Tomas spoke again, fiddling with it and examining it. "I suppose I do." He took a few more moments to examine the key before lightly tossing it onto the desk. He would get nowhere with Tomas angry about not having the key. "Not much worth to me anyway, I already know how to get in." He said, nonchalantly. It was true, he'd been there many times. He wanted to make his stance clear to Tomas--Josh knew how to get in, what he wanted was permission. Awareness. He could greatly help both the Fallen and their allies, but only in return for some protection and access to their stocks.
"Pardon me, I'm being rude. I haven't even introduced myself." Josh moved quickly to his feet, in a way of saying, 'I may be relaxed, but I'm quick with my reflexes.' "My name is Josh, although many more people know me as Robin Hood." He took a flourishing bow before looking back to Tomas. He was certain the man had heard of him even if they hadn't met before--Tomas had been here long enough.

Tomas had long-since become familiar with this breed of man. When he had first enlisted in the military, he had been assigned to a squad with a man by the name of Jesus Moreno, and he had been a clear joker and perhaps even a bit of a fiend. He always meant well by it, or at least that was still Tomas' impression of the man, for all lost items had been returned and each prank ended with more laughter than pain.
Had Josh wanted to escape with the key, he would have. That meant that the man was more interested in something else. Tomas's eyes tracked the progression of the intruder from the doorway to the desk.
"Be my guest," Tomas said, waving his hand in a welcoming gesture. "Be sure to make yourself comfortable, and at home."
Blatant rudeness was something that never settled well with him but here, he would tolerate it, solely due to the fact that this man owed him no allegiance and Tomas was confident that he now held the upper-hand. The intruder may have infiltrated Fallen borders and even gotten so far as to enter Tomas train-car... but the "threat" was now identified and, in fact, conveniently cornered in the middle of Fallen territory.
"Well, you have my undivided attention, Josh." Tomas had watched the key get tossed haphazardly onto the desk and, with that secured, he knew for certain that this "Robin Hood" was interested in making a deal. Tomas had heard the name tossed around in the past by some older Fallen members, but he had hardly taken note. He considered the man to be a Menagerie myth. "Have you come to rob from the rich and give to the poor? You'll find that we have no more or no less than the other Rings or, for that matter, other men."
Tomas moved closer, so that he was sitting on the edge of his desk, looking down at the man with little expression. He had an excellent poker face.
Regardless, this stranger was not attempting to steal, or Tomas would have never found him in his train-car. Tomas was curious. "What is it you really want?"
