THE TREEHOUSE

The treehouse is small but comfortable. Built high into the trees, it provides shelter and safety from most things that prowl the forest at night. There is a rope ladder rolled up inside for the rare guest, but it is never left out, as the residents can all fly up to the landing, a small wooden porch that surrounds the building. The inside is sparse, with only enough room for a bed in the corner, and the necessary supplies for living in the wilderness. The heart of the treehouse is a branch that grows through it; Planks have been nailed into it to form a spiral staircase to the loft above, where there is a small bed and a few child's knick-knacks. The space doesn't allow for much more, but the feeling inside is comfortable and warm. A hatch in the roof provides an easy escape were the treehouse to be invaded.
