Beyond the waterfall lies a large cavern, walls smooth and reflective from the water that mists in through the front of the cave. The stones walls are highly reflective and seem to glow with their own light, shimmering with hues of blues and greens. This is a place where many laze, though important pack gatherings are held here as well. Beyond this cavern, an intricate maze of pathways winds its way into and below the mountainside. The entrance is hidden at the back of the Cavern, though there has also been talk of being able to get to it from the wooded area around the lake. There are many different sized rooms that are carved out and serve as dens to the pack in the main, back area. In the eastern corridors are higher set, small alcoves where they put their prisoners, with little room to move save to sit up or lay down. The make-shift cells are affixed with rusted chains and wooden plank gates in the front. Lastly, a set of slightly larger dens occupy a round outer room that is to the west of the main dens, this is where the higher ranks and guests sleep.

The shoreline of the lake is strewn with pebbles that start from underneath the crystalline waters and litter the shoreline with larger and larger rocks and boulders scattered amongst thick grasses and sparse trees. A few of the rocks are large and flat, jutting out over the expanse of cool water and perfect for sunbathing. As the lake curves around farther away from the small cavern that the waterfall resides in the rocks blend into smooth sand at the outer edge that flows into the river that runs south.

Further east of the main territory the forest grows and thickens, curving downward and into a low swamp. Fog rolls over the widest part of the river that snakes its way through the bog, underneath cypress trees and around makeshift islands covered in moss and willows, which provide a soothing shade in the mid-day heat. The soothing sound of crickets and the flickering of firefly's are a popular thing here in the spring and summer as well.

Looming above the lake are the great falls and river that spout from the mountainous slopes forming the protective valley the Nilda call their home. The highlands above are strewn with thick slabs of rocks slick with the spray from the broiling river and waterfall. Small pathways and stair-like routes have been carved out of the stone by long dry streams from the mountains high above. Trees follow up the steep paths on either side, thinning out at the top as the land becomes rough and uneven, eventually arching and falling in the borderlands between the Nilda and Lawaii. The river is loud coming from the mountain, and the spray is cool in the air around the peak where you can stand and look over the majority of the Nilda.

Board Description
NILDA LAKE
Nestled warmly in a valley between two mountains of the range is the calm waters of the lake. The waterfall that leads right down to the lake comes from the mountain tops that loom above. There are different parts to the beaches that are made from the shorelines. The west side is sandy and comfortable, but the farther east one gets, the rougher and rockier it becomes. Despite the discomfort of the rocks, it's a perfect place to look for a good lunch. Small water animals and birds tend to cling to the rocks, oblivious to their hunters. The lake has been used for swimming, relaxing, teaching, and hunting. It's the utopia of the Menagerie, being a wonder to all of how the Keepers would have the heart to give such a beautiful place. Anyone could survive here better than they could in the Rings with fresh water, easy-to-reach food, and the shelter of the mountain side to the west or the forested hunting grounds to the east.

All Shifters beware! A pack of canine Retro's have taken control of this territory!
