Sub-Boards

Hundreds of thousands of feet of glass - a never-ending expanse of transparent boundary, cutting you off from all you ever knew and loved. Curious eyes tinged with fear stare from just behind, just beyond, persistent in their disdain and lingering hatred.

It is The Wall.

The Switchstone express derailed about a half-mile from the main station, and is the perfect place for the FallenRing members to call home. It is secluded from the rest of the Menagerie, and rather hard to find, for the FallenRing have hidden it well. There are often dust storms that blow in from the desert of the "Place", which makes it even harder to find. The broken down express train is about five cars long, but it has been built upon with wooden shacks for extra room and board; the inside is no worse for the wear, the fine upholstery still in tact.

Though the train no longer runs, there are still the ever present steel rail-road tracks to prove its existence. The rails run for what seems like an eternity, far out into the sands of the great desert, where the walls of the Menagerie finally end. Razor wire fences were constructed to keep the children of the Menagerie from accessing the abandoned chain, but they have long since been torn through. There are a few cargo holding boxes that were abandoned, the supplies all taken, hollow on the inside. The train can be found a half a mile out, inhabited by one of the more reclusive Rings of Order; the Fallen.

Dubbed so for the soul reason of the disgrace this place holds; where the FallenRing holds its prisoners. the technology behind the prison hold is rather simple: steep walled ditches reaching a depth of 15 feet, with sides so steep and usually muddy that it is impossible to climb back up, even for most animals. if you can manage to scale the slope, you need to find a way to get through 2 overlapping layers of barbed wire fence, tiny squares only 4 inches wide. the way that prisoners are moved in and out is through a simple system of lowering a light set of wooden stairs that resembles a ladder, only a bit thicker and more stable.

From as far as the eye can see, sand sets aflame the flats of the Fallen territory. Gold and blood red hues plaster the ever moving earth and scolding hot grains burn at your feet. But that is not all to be wary of where you step - venomous creatures linger in their desert homes as well. Although dead with heat of day, the lands are full of life; And only the most resilient can thrive among these sands. But in the midst of all this boiling heat lay a haven; an oasis of sparkling waters, tinted a dark blue and mirror-like in its stillness. Tall palm trees and various bushes and underbrush encircle the small oasis, perhaps the only place in the Menagerie where you can get easy access to fresh, pure water.

NOTICE! THE FALLEN HAVE WON BACK THEIR TERRITORY FROM THE FULSI! HUZZAH!

Edmund Conner POSTED IN 'Found In Translation [Sascha]'

Empty windowpanes glare miserably out at the world, with gaping holes in the walls and roof of the two story building. The aged wooden structure is splintered and worn, its original red painting faded and scratched off. There are random splotches of the red paint that still remain, making the building look beaten and bloody. Half of the second story looks as if could collapse at any moment and the peeling white halls are strewn with litter. The rooms inside are filled with lines of broken and moldy cots, with a few remnants of the patients left behind, personal tokens and trinkets. Most everything else was stolen. This establishment was once an insane asylum, and is said to still be. The Asylum is said to harbor the lost and troubled souls of all the children and adults who died inside, forgotten and locked away, abandoned without care by the rest of the world. There are often reports of ghosts and spirits wandering the halls; watch your step.

Board Information & Statistics

Board Description
FALLENRING STATION
The southern territory included within the borders of the FallenRing are that of the once magnificent Switchstone Express rail lines and the harsh spread of the desert lands. Switchstone station and it's long, twisted tracks are the only thing actually visible from a razor-wire fence that works to keep out intruders. These lands are a vast expanse of abandonment - very quiet, serene and often times lonely landscapes. This is obviously the edge of the city, outskirts. Several buildings lay within the Fallen's reaches, though they choose a more secluded area for their residence, the Switchstone Express and all it's cars. To the eastern sectors of their territory lay the Citadel Mountains, and on the other side sprawls the decrepit Carna.
