Fiercely guarded and always hidden, the Nesting Grounds are not easy to find unless you know exactly where to look. This is because it does not stand out remarkably from any of the other surrounding areas upon first glance. Located among some of the lower-ranging mountainous terrain, one will find that most of the birds have carved out a home for themselves within the nooks and crannies of the cliff sides; others have taken shelter amidst the small grove of mountainash trees that cluster in the smoother portions of the cliffs. Those that are land-dwelling will find it a comfort to nestle deep within the burrows which have been hollowed out beneath the curving roots of the trees. Clusters of wild flowers grow wherever the earth permits, shedding some brightness on the otherwise drab landscape.

Those who are daring will find the Crags to be an excellent place to explore. Jagged peaks jut out towards the sky, while other peaks stretch out far lower, proving dangerous if one happens to accidentally fall midflight. It seems, overtime, that the earth has buckled, and from this little caverns and caves have been forged into all the surrounding cliffs. These places are excellent not only for exploring, but also for hiding things – or oneself, if they are at risk. In addition, certain herbs and flowers grow within them, and these often serve as excellent medicinal remedies for healers to make use of. A caution to all who explore though, as the Crags are known for hosting a wide range of predatory animals such as cougars and coyotes who would love to make a meal out of any bird they happen to encounter.

The Gorge is, perhaps, one of the most formidable places in the Lawaii’s territory, and not a place someone would typically wish to explore. Carved out of the earth by the constant flow of rivers, the Gorge is now a dry and dirty place which plays host to a grim spectacle. Littered at the bottom of the Gorge are a vast number of skeletal bones; while it is difficult to discern animal from human due to the amount, a great many of them are, unfortunately (and suspiciously) human. Often it is from those who have fallen off the edge of the cliff that extends above the Gorge, but some whisper that a great many of those who perish there were pushed off by the more vicious members of the Lawaii. Indeed, there is a tree planted upon that cliff edge where various bones have been tied. Some say it is a warning to be careful, while others say it is a warning not to intrude on the territory. Tread carefully, lest you become the next victim, and if you explore, do so with the highest sense of alertness, since predators often flock here as well, hoping for an easy meal.

Although there are many various rivers that run throughout the mountains, the Cascade Brooks are by far the most vital water source of the Lawaii. All of the smaller brooks run into one, forming the Cascade Brooks – a river of sorts, although the current is not so strong. One side of the rocky bank rises up higher than the other, providing a good outlook post if someone wishes to keep watch while another collects water. A willow tree growing on this bank extends some distance out over the water, providing shade and comfort. The other, lower bank is littered with debris – fish bones, rocks, logs, sticks, and is not nearly so comfortable. When it rains heavily, this bank tends to become flooded and muddy. The Cascade Brooks eventually split again into smaller rivulets as it runs down the mountain sides towards the valleys.

Board Information & Statistics

Board Description
LAWAII MOUNTAIN RANGE
Formerly called the Citadel Mountain range, these treacherous mountains are not something to be taken lightly. These dangerous peaks are full of obstacles, and a combination of sheer cliff-faces, a steep climb, and jagged rocks often make these mountains the final resting place for those who dare to travel them. Between many of these treacherous peaks, there are valleys scattered about, some larger and some smaller, with one of the largest being the valley which houses the glorious the Nilda Lake, and the Analoya Huntingrounds. Mountains and Valleys continue for what seems like ages, and in this magnificent expanse, and it can be rather easy to go astray. The tallest peak even still does not reach the end of the glass walls of the enclosure, though it is fittingly titled Condor's Perch, for any who try to climb to the summit will most certainly perish and be left as food for the vultures.

A fierce flock of bird Retro's have taken claim of this territory and it's treacherous peaks.
