Psychological Evaluation and Background
SEXUAL PREFERENCE: Heterosexual
PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Nyah is a proud creature, and she is extremely fond of herself. She is her own greatest fan. This is not to say she is particularly selfish or narcissistic, no more than any other cat at any rate, the way she sees it she is just acknowledging how awesome she really is.
She certainly has the capacity to be kind to others, and, despite the fact that female cheetah's are almost always solitary, she quite enjoys the company of other felines, often going out of her way to meet and interact with them. She is reasonably friendly and approachable, but if she becomes annoyed with you she will simply flick her tail and walk away with her head held high.
She loves to hunt and is quite good at it, having been the better hunter out of her litter. She is proud of her skill, and her speed and agility. She will occasionally waste energy by showing off to others.
She loves her exotic spotless fur, loves how she is different than almost all other cheetahs, loves the way the golden fur gleams in the sunlight. She is particularly vain about her fur, grooming it and keeping it as clean and spotless as she can.
She is also quite fond of her human form, and is quite used to shifting whenever she requires use of her hands, which is often. She is particularly enamored with her human forms long blonde hair and pale skin, paler than her family's, feeling that it reflects her pale golden fur.
Like most cheetahs she will usually choose to avoid confrontations where she could be injured, and will often surrender a kill rather than fight over it. This has changed somewhat since she joined the Analoya pride, as she feels emboldened by the strength of the Analoya pride, content in the knowledge that help is there if she needs it.
KNOWN HISTORY:
Nyah was born to a litter of three cubs in her mothers home range, knowing nothing more than the chirps and purrs of her mother and siblings. She spent the first few months of her life totally dependent on her mother, playing with her brothers and learning the vital skills she would need to stay alive. Many times they were forced to hide under bushes while there mother was hunting, wary for the shadows of eagles ad the larger predators that would make short work of a small cheetah cub.
On one such occasion when she was four months old a hyena approached the bush that she and her brothers were hiding in, drawn by their scent. Heedless of her small form Nyah placed herself between her brothers and the threat, hissing and spitting, puffing her fur up to make herself look larger. Unimpressed by her fierce display, the hyena stepped in to attack. In desperation she shifted for the first time. Her human form was not much larger than her cheetah form, being only about three years old and unable to do more than yell loudly at the hunting hyena, but it was enough to startle the hyena to run off.
Seeing her shift, her brothers attempted the same thing, and found that they too could change into humans. When their mother came back she dropped the kill and shifted herself, smiling slightly, it was time to teach her cubs. After this incident the family spent time in both forms. In cheetah form they learned to run and hunt, strengthening their muscles to run in extreme bursts. In their human form she taught them how to speak, the already knew shifter tounge, and she taught them bits of english and swahilli, giving them their names. She taught them how to shift between human and animal, how to walk and use their clever little hands for all sorts of things. Using a fragment of bone she roughly skinned her kills, teaching her cubs how to tie them together and clothe themselves. Nyah learned everything the quickest, and her mother was very proud of her, calling her "Little Hunter".
Safari tours often came through their mothers range, observing the cheetahs from a distance. Instead of running, th small family observed the humans as well. Nyah especially became well known by the tours for her rare coloration. She took every opportunity to study the humans, watching with her sharp little eyes, noting their clothes, how they wore bits of metal and glass on the necks and hands. Curious, she took a piece of dried hide and threaded some feathers onto it, wearing it on her wrist. She decided it looked nice, and took to gathering bits of pretty things and sticking them to the pelts she wore in her human form.
When she and her brothers reached eighteen months of age their mother knew they were ready to leave her. They had been hunting for three months and were more than able to feed themselves. Much as she wanted to keep them with her, she knew that they needed to leave. That didn't meant they would never see each other of course, the trio of siblings set up next to their mothers home range, establishing a small territory in which to hunt.
Nyah knew that she would need to leave her siblings in a few months, but for the moment at least they were together. She was by far the greater hunter of the three, and would often bring in the kills. As she got used to hunting she realized it was far better to take the kill away and hide it, so that hyenas or lions didn't come and try to steal it. After every kill she made she would shift, sling the antelope over her shoulders and carry it into the rocky gully where the siblings had made their home. There she would strip the kill of as much of it's hide as she could and divide the meat up between her and her brothers.
Her brothers were a little in awe of her. She was faster than they were, seeming to almost fly across the plains. She was stealthy and quiet, chasing down her prey, killing it, and leaving no trace behind. They called her the "Wind of the Plains" and followed her around like lost puppies. She taught them all she could, trying to make them better hunters, trying to make sure they would survive when she left them. Mosi, the first born of the litter, was strong and bold, and would do well, but she worried about Kibwe. Kibwe was smaller and more timid than either of his siblings, looking up to Nyah with something like worship, as if she was some unreachable star. He tried hard, but he wasn't as natural a hunter as Nyah or Mosi were. She focused on teaching him, and, by the time she was twenty two months old he was almost as proficient as Mosi.
It was at this point that they ran into a group of humans while they were hunting one day. These humans were different to the usual safari tours, they had no vehicles, and they moved through the grass almost like wild things themselves. The cheetahs watched them with curiosity as they set up tents and began to inspect everything from plants to animal dung. Shaking their heads, the cheetahs moved on. After returning with their kill to their home gully, Nyah snuck off, intending to watch the humans some more. She reached the camp at dusk, watching the humans from a distance in the fading light.
A twig snapped behind her and she whirled, eyes wide, to see a human standing nearby. She growled at the human, but he just stepped back calmly, speaking lowly to her as if he knew she could understand. He told her he meant her no harm, he was just watching her, trying to learn about her. It took her a while to realize he was speaking in shifter tongue. She pondered for a while, before replying in kind. It was strange, talking to a human like this, but she found she enjoyed it. The man introduced himself as Neal, he was curious about how she lived, how she thought. He was studying cheetahs and other big cats with a group of human scientists. He explained that he was a shifter, but he had to keep it secret, because once shifters got found out they were put into a giant zoo. They put retros in that zoo too, when they could find them. Interested in continuing the conversation, they arranged to meet in secret every few days.
Nyah and Neal met up often and 'traded' knowledge, he taught her more about humans and shifters, and showed her his shift form, a small house cat that fascinated Nyah. She in turn taught him the ways of the wild, how a cheetah hunted, what her mother had taught her about humans, the stories that had been passed down through generations of retromorphs. They were both interested in how the other one thought, and soon became friends. She didn't introduce her brothers though, she knew it was a risk letting a human know that she was different, besides, she was twenty three months old, it was time to leave and set up her own home range.
She and Neal met up as usual and talked, but, halfway though their discussion on the difference between human and retromorph hunting tactics another one of the scientists came in search of Neal. He found Neal and Nyah sitting comfortably together, a human and a cheetah, conversing in a guttural, growling language. He knew about shifters and retromorphs of course, he was a scientist, so he called it in, betraying his colleague and the beast he had been speaking to to UNIT. Neal shifted and ran with Nyah, determined to escape being caught and taken to the menagerie. She employed every trick she knew, seeming to melt into the grass around her, but there was only so much she could do against an organisation like UNIT. They brought helicopters and tranqued her and Neal from the sky.
When she awoke she was in a cage, inside the keepers compound. The keepers poked and prodded her, treating her like a mindless beast. They made her shift and took away all her pelts and feathers, replacing them with regular human clothing. After a while they released her into the menagerie, and, after a few encounters with rogue, she made her way over to Analoya territory and joined the pride as a hunter.

Physical attributes and characteristics
HEIGHT: 83cm
WEIGHT: 62kg (137 pounds)
BODY BUILD: Nyah is sleek and slender like all cheetahs, a little smaller and lankier as she is not quite fully grown yet.
FUR: Nyah's fur is a light golden/wheaten hue, darker on her back and shoulders, lightening down her flanks and almost white on her belly and chest. It is short, thick and course.
EYES: Nyah's eyes are a deep amber color.
MARKINGS: Nyah's markings are quite unusual for a cheetah. Aside from a few black flecks on her back she has absolutely no spots! The only other black markings she retains are the characteristic 'tear streaks' on her face.
ANYTHING EXTRA: She still retains a small part of the mane that baby cheetah's have, and will keep this until she is fully mature.
HUMAN DESCRIPTION: In human form she retains her slender appearance, being about 5' 9" and weighing only 48kg (105 pounds), although with a little more food she would be heavier. Her skin is quite pale and she has long, golden blonde hair that falls past her shoulders. Her eyes are large and the same amber color as her regular form. Her feet are calloused and strong from running barefoot across plains and rocks, and she has no need for shoes.
She still collects feathers and anything pretty she finds, finding ways to wear them. She wears feathers in her hair and braided onto leather as bracelets, anklets and necklaces. Her favorite bracelet is one she made herself. It is three long strips of leather braided together with various feathers stuck into the weave. She keeps adding more feathers to it every time she finds one she likes.
