She slipped through the empty doorway with ease, there was nothing there to block her entry anymore, where there had once been a high security door, she was sure, there was now nothing but empty space, a few rusted hinges still remained connected to the door frame, but nothing more. Once her slender form had been engulfed by the unforgiving darkness, Aaralyn felt safer, more secure, more alone. That was all she wanted, to be alone. Once she had breached the walls of the old, broken down asylum, she paused, her normally quick pace halted as she felt out the air. The air was stagnant, very musty and uninviting, but that was what she wanted, not many others wanted to breathe in the old air, which meant she would most likely be alone in her journeys. She stood frozen, listening carefully for any other noises aside from her even breathing and stuttering heartbeat. There was hardly ever a time anymore where her heart wasn't stuttering, she was always on edge in this godforsaken place.
Once she felt confident in her decision that there was no one else around, Aaralyn released a soft sigh of relief, raising one hand to brush the hair from her face. She was a mess, not that it really mattered anymore here in this dome city. Everyone was a mess. Her normally clean hair had become a greasy, matted mess, and her face was never clean and clear anymore, her complexion was always ruined by the stubborn smears of dirt that seemed to come from everywhere, along with blood from countless fights amongst other things that were encountered in the dome. She sighed again, what she would do for a nice, hot shower. She rubbed her dirty hands against her face, probably causing more smears to adorn her features now, but she couldn't see in this blackness. She began moving onward again, tossing her head so that her natty brown hair rested behind her shoulders, out of her way.
There were a few times where she stumbled, not being able to see things very well in the limited amount of light, but for the most part, she manoeuvred around quite well. As her eyes adjusted to her surroundings, Aaralyn could begin to pick up on some of the scenery around her. The paint of the walls was old, peeling and flaking away, there was a thick coating of dust that covered almost every object in the room, obviously this institute wasn't often traveled. She wondered why more people didn't come here to get away from the others, but then decided that she liked it more that way. She walked through a series of broken doorways and hallways, some which were better lit than others due to holes in the structure of the building. She was beginning to get tired, she had hardly slept a wink since she'd been brought here by those damned Keepers however many weeks ago that had been now. It was hard to keep track of time in this place. Everything had become jumbled together to Aaralyn. A yawn cracked her lips and she rose a hand to cover her mouth, a habit that she was still unable to break, even in this place and with no one else present. She needed to rest, her body was weak, and she was starving. But truth was, she was dead terrified to go out there in search of food or to sleep unprotected. Everyone in this place was unpredictable.
She climbed through yet another doorway, this room was almost pitch black, and the door had been broken down, quite obviously, leaving a pile of rubble blocking the entrance to the room. Aaralyn had some difficulty climbing over this mess, and ended up rolling into the room rather than walking, but either way she was happy, no one would bother here in here, she didn't think. It was too much of a nuisance to get into. She felt her way around in the darkness, looking for any sort of more comfortable surface to lay upon than the ground, after a minute she was beginning to feel like she'd have to sleep on the hard floor again, but then she hit something and her spirits lifted. She ran her finger tips across the fabric's surface, feeling it out. She decided it was a couch, and she sat down upon it with a small smile laid out across her lips. She had hit the jackpot here today. As she spread her body out across the couch, she sighed again, it wasn't the most comfortable couch she'd ever laid on, but it sure beat the hell out of most things around here. She laid on her back with her legs dangling over one arm of the couch, and could almost instantly feel herself drifting off to the unconscious world. She stirred a few times, trying to keep herself awake. What if someone walks in here, you idiot, and finds you asleep! You'll be lunch for somebody! What are you doing! You can't sleep! She was screaming at herself inside her head, but no matter how hard she tried, her body's natural needs won and took over, causing her eyelids to rest heavily, her breathing to even out and deepen, and her mind to shut down and succumb to the black thoughts of unconsciousness.
ooc- open to anyone who'd like to reply! i want to get some action going with aaralyn : )

Quick sat on the roof of the Asylum watching the sunset through the dome. He was in his leopard form, like usual for the past six years. He had only ever spent an hour or two in it before he got captured by the Keepers. Since he got thrown in here at the age of fifteen, though, he had been in it at least for half the day, every day, just in case. He hated having to distruct everyone so much. At least he was able to trust the members of the Fallenring without too much question. It was mostly those Carnas that he questioned, having given in to their more animalistic instincts and allowing violence to take over their minds.
He sighed softly to himself and slowly rose to his paws and padded down off of the roof, back down into the Asylum itself, slowly walking down the stairwells and hallways, making his way steadily closer to the bottom. It was when he was about halfway through that he picked up a strange scent and paused. This was a smell of someone who didn't belong. it raised his hackles on the back of his neck, thinking there might be another thread inside their borders.
He slowly slunk through the building, using the natural stealthy abilities of his animal for to move quickly and lithely through the rubble of the place to slink up on whoever it was undetected. He followed the scent to a doorway with a broken door blocking it. He grimaced, a rather funny looking face in his leopard form to be sure, and began to carefully climb over the door, making sure not to make it shift, lest he alert his target to his presence.
As he entered the room, the nocturnal vision of his animal form revealed to him the form of a woman sleeping on a couch. She was relatively close to his own age, a few years older, and was covered in grime and dirt, just like everyone else in this forsaken hell-hole of a dome. He growled quietly as he approached, not quiet attempting to awaken her yet. He waited until he was right up on her, the claws on his paws out just in case she proved to be dangerous, and then tapped her on the legs with a single paw.
He didn't think that would be necessary, though. She didn't have the scent of someone very dangerous....
OOC: first off, hope you don't mind me joining in on this. Just trying to get a few threads going. :3 Stretching Quick's legs and all. lol.
Second, this seems like just before she's ACTUALLY joined the Fallenring. Would you like to play it out that way, or....no? lol it'd be your call really.

The grassy hills which were adorned with random sprouting trees lined her eyesight, the leaves fluttering in the breeze and causing a small shuffling in the air, masking the other quiet noises around them. No one noticed the human masked in earthen tones kneeling in the brush, a rifle pointed directly in their direction. The deer was the tallest of the three, her head reaching over the bushes surrounding them, while the wild cat and the small wild dog remained mostly hidden by the brush. Without warning, there was a loud, deafening sound, one that would ring in her ears for all her life. Unhuman shreiks of horror were emitted from all around, and the two wild animals darted off, not noticing for a moment that there was not a third to follow. Karen, Karen, Karen! Where are you! The animal instinct had taken over, and there was no pausing ot going back to check, she had to keep running. Safety. That was the only concern now.
A sweat had broken out over the sleeping girls brow. Eyelids fluttering sloftly with the vivid dream's motions. This was about the time where the Keepers had dropped in, paid the two young girls a visit, but instead, something else happened. Neurons jolted in her brain, screaming at her to pull herself out of her sleep. She was no longer alone, something had distrupted her dream. She felt her leg shift, and she immeaditely jolted awake, her hazel eyes wide and blind in the darkness around her. A small gasp left her parted lips, her heart beating furiously against her ribcage. She pushed herself away from the couch cushions, scurrying backward frantically, placing herself as close to the wall behind her as humanly possible. There was something infront of her, something had sought her out. How long had she been asleep? Not very by the feel of her. She fought to see through the penetrating black, but to no avail. She couldn't see anything, nor hear anything over her own rapid breathing or stuttering heart beat for that matter.
She took a moment, trying to collect her nerves. Where was she? She was on the Fallenring's land, her home, as much as she didn't like it. Shouldn't she be safe here? No. Her mind screamed back, being her voice of logic. Just because she was in a claimed area, didn't mean that intruders couldn't breach the walls. There was hardly and light in the room, but somehow it managed to reflect off her guest's nocturnal eyes and tip Aaralyn off as to where it was. Too close for comfort. Aaralyn could feel a lump forming in her throat, trying to conjure up an image for what was lurking near her. Her first assumption was a large cat of some sort, just basing her judgement off the reflective eyes. "Who the f uck is there?" She finally managed to spit, although her voice came out somewhat more shaky than she would have liked.
ooc- it's fine that you joined ; D. i'm happy to get some interaction going with Aaralyn. and second of all, i'm going to say that she's already a part of the fallenring, but she's been in the menagerie a very short time so she still doesn't exactly trust them, either. but she believes they'd treat her the best out of everyone.

Quick actually jumped a little in his skin when the woman leapt up on top of the couch. He hadn't expected her to act that way, and it had surprised him. He had been right, though: this woman was clearly very frightened. It hadn't been his intention to scare her, but it had happened. As she jumped up on the couch, demanding tg know who was there, he backed up a little so he would be more visible in the minimal light coming past the broken door. Then, he shifted back to his human form. As he did, he put his hands up and spoke.
"Don't worry, I won't hurt you," he said softly,"I just smelled you in here, and I didn't recognize the scent. Are you with the fallen?"

Her breath hitched in her throat, the hazel colour of her eye had been smothered by the blackness of her pupils. The room was dead silent for a moment, and she could hear her intruders breathing. It sounded relatively even for anyone who intended to harm her. She fought frantically to pull herself together and push the unnervingly vivid dream from her mind. Inhaling one deep, long breath, Aaralyn regained control of herself. Her grip on the couch's cushion eased slightly, and she tried to pinpoint her guest in the dark. She let her body slide off the couch somewhat nimbly, her shoes thudding lightly on the floor as she stood. She heard a familiar sound then, the sound of bones and muscle contorting as a body shifted from one form to another. Ah, it was another shape shifter then. She rose a brow curiously in the dark, holding completely still. She heard the other person shuffling back, and she could just barely trace the outline of another human. It appeared to be male, judging solely off the bulk of the silhouette.
His voice broke the silence and Aaralyn's body tensed a fraction, half expecting to be attacked. When no attack came, she felt herself relax slightly, and she stepped forward. He claimed he didn't intend to hurt her, but really, what did those words mean from a stranger? She considered his question for a moment, should she tell him she was with the Fallen ring? Or would that be a mistake? She shrugged to herself, taking another step toward the silhouette. "I am with the Fallen," She muttered, her voice even now, but holding a cold tone. The blackness surrounding them was unnerving to her, she felt somewhat more relaxed knowing that the man had shifted back into his human form, that meant less of a threat. "You wouldn't recognize my scent, as I'm new in this place." She spoke the words with distaste, not embarrassed to voice her dislike of this dome city. "Would you care to go out there into the light, this dark doesn't make for good conversation." While her voice was still highly skeptical and wary, it had obviously loosened up a bit.
ooc; sorry it's crapppp.
