Colors. Vivid beautiful blues, gaping greens, and a mixture of the rainbow presented itself to the people that walked by it. Most enamored by the works of art decorating the building. Eleanor was no different. Though she hadn’t been to all the places located in the Menagerie, this old studio had to be her favorite. She walked into the building, smiling at the marvelous pieces that stood before her on the floors and walls. It was obvious that the place was an art studio, now abandoned. To her all it needed was a little love to make it back to it’s former glory. Almost all of the floor in one room was covered in dirt. The room wasn’t very big, just a side room off the main hallway, most likely used for sleep by rogues. A mattress was lying in the center of the room, an old ratty thing. El lifted it up and moved it to the side, deciding that, that would be the place to put her mark on the building.
El set her stuff down and grabbed a pack of chalk and one of her sketch books from the string backpack she carried around. She searched through the book, finally pulling out a detailed sketch that had faded some. Sitting down on the floor and pulling off her flannel, the fox girl set upon her mission, re-creating the scene on the faded paper.
It didn’t take her long, maybe an hour or two, considering it wasn’t as complex as most of her drawings were. Her hands traced and swirled, first drawing the outline. To most people it would look like a bunch of lines and scribbles. At first that’s all it was. As she continued, a wolf formed and so did several trees, along with another wolf near the background. With each detail, it came together, to form a winter scene and a pair of wolves under the night sky. “One last thing” Eleanor murmured as she got up. A piece of art was never complete without the artist’s name. In very neat cursive, she signed Eleanor Styles under the front wolf’s paw.
This normally bright and cheery girl usually created more happy and random pieces but they were too complex to be on anything other than paper. The scene created before her was more of a calm and serene piece. Still, it was very detailed and El was happy with it. ‘Halsee would be too, she was into that stuff anyway.’ She thought while packing up her stuff.
