And I don't want the world to see me Cause I don't think that they'd understand_______________________________ The lights were bright and everything was sharp, but Restans mind couldn't process anything. He felt cold, but then his body was hot to the touch and he could feel the heat prickle at the back of his neck. Nothing had n defining lines, just blurs and objects that seemed so foreign; like the feel beneath him. He couldn't tell if he was on the ground of what. It was hard and smooth. He should have known it was concrete, but he hadn't felt the smooth surface of it in so long that his mind didn't recognize it. The lights were getting brighter and there was something there. But suddenly he felt restrained and his body was laying down. The surface was freezing and the place wreaked. The smell stung at his nose, but he nearly could recognize the smell. There was images being brought back into his head. Memories. He had blocked out so much for so long that the sudden hit of them made him close his eyes tight and shake his head.
His body clenched and began to try and thrash, but this only helped him realize he had no ability to move his hands or feet. Then there was....voices? He could hear the mumbling and tones, but their words were unknown to him. But suddenly everything was back. It was like his eyes were closed up until now. He was on a table and there was someone there. Lifting his head he was met with the covered face of a doctor. We're going to look at your mind. Alot of things don't scare Restan, but the look in the mans' eyes made his body cold. The man grabbed for a knife. In this moment everything slowed. Restan felt the blade touch his forehead, his mouth opened and....
Restan shot up screaming and holding his head. His chest was heaving while his body was slick with sweat. A new look crossed over the features of Restan. Confusion and Fear. He couldn't remember anything and the dream made his heart quicken and blood slow down. It seemed so real and he knows he felt the steel blade against his head. He could feel a sting on his forehead, but he was scared to touch or look at it. Afraid to retract his hand with blood on it, or see the mark. He wanted to keep it a dream. Sitting up he rested his elbows on his knees and placed his head in his hands. Closing his eyes he tried not to think about the dream. He didn't want it to be real.

When it's dark enough outside,Starr's head was throbbing from all the stress she was being put under. Who knew that being Beta would be so difficult, and how exactly Damian put up with it on a daily basis was beyond her. It was even double the pressure on the both of them now that Legend had been captured and hidden in who knows where. They had been search for days without any luck, and things were beginning to look worse and worse. Vivian rubbed her temples furiously in an attempt to sooth the pain shooting through her head. Just one more thing to add to her list of annoyances. Headaches had become a routine with Starr now, getting almost every other day it seemed. However, what could a girl do but sit and take it? The temporary Beta couldn't let herself be weak and confused, she needed to remain strong and together for her ring. She needed to prove that the Fulsi could hold their own even without their Alpha, and Starr planned to make sure it happened no matter how many headaches she acquired in the process.
Starr continued to pace around Delica Park as she tried to organize her thoughts. Viv ha decided that the best way to help the Fulsi was to pull herself together and calm herself down. The best way to accomplish that was to go out and get some fresh air for a moment or two and escape the chaos if for only a minute. She couldn't be any help to Damian or to Legend if she didn't get back into Beta mode and start acting like a leader. If Starr didn't, she would not only disgrace herself, but also the Fulsi. That wouldn't be right, now would it? So there Starr was, sitting on one of the swings in Delica trying to forget for a moment all the pressures of home, to get away from everything at least for now.
After a few seconds Starr had managed to finally get herself into her "happy place" of sorts, the headache quickly fading away. Good, the faster she got rid of this headache the faster she could get back to work. However, her peaceful moment was interrupted by a loud screaming on the other side of the park. Starr practically jumped out of her swing at the screech, her hands flying to her ears in order to provide for some protection from the hideous sound. What the heck? Starr thought as she stood up and hesitantly made her way to the direction of the scream. She was absolutely shocked at what she found. Restan Montevont, sitting on the ground with his hands clutching his head and his chest heaving. Vivian couldn't believe it, Restan Montevont? That dude has been been missing for what seemed like an eternity and a day, and Starr should know, she had been looking for the lazy bum for ages. Now there he was, Restan Montevont, sitting there like he had no idea where he was. Not because she actually cared or anything...no, he was just really needed now that Legend is gone...yeah, that's it. Well, the one thing she was going to do was give that jerk a piece of her mind!
Without so much as a second thought Starr stomped up to Restan in a huff, severely ticked off. Within moments she stood in front of the man, her hazel eyes glaring at the man before her. "Restan, where have the heck you bee-" Starr stopped herself in mid sentence as she took a closer look at the Head of Border Patrol. He looked confused and...scared? Restan never showed anyone he was scared. And that scar, too, where did that come from? Vivian's anger simmered down as was replaced with genuine concern, which Starr found a bit odd. She sighed and bent down to Restan's level, her features softening considerably. "Hey Restan, you okay?" Her hazel eyes flickered back up to the scar on his forehead. "What in the world happened to you?" you can see the STARRs.

And I don't want the world to see me Cause I don't think that they'd understand_______________________________ He was numb. It seemed all his senses were off or sleeping. He flexed his fingers into his head and dug his nails into his head, but there was nothing. There was a slight pressure; an essence of what it should have been. It was self mutilation and he knew it,but everything was so wrong and he just wanted to make it right. He dug his nails as deep as he could into his skin and raked them down. Blood oozed from the lacerations, but he didn't feel it and it was haunting him. Restan never liked pain, but not being able to feel it was just as bad. Now most in this might cry, but if ever faced with a problem Restan always got mad. His eyes narrowed and his upper lip curled up. His mind was processing too much that he wasn't aware that the pain was starting to come, or the fact that he wasn't alone. He never gave consideration of how long he was gone. Honestly, he didn't figure anyone would miss or go looking for him. He never made ties because he knew they would all just need to be broken at some point. There was some pain that not even Restan would go through. There were some things Restan almost regretted doing, but he never truly did. Life was a bitch and he treated her like one.
The last person Restan thought he would see was the Delta; or more known to him as Starr. Their last meeting wasn't exactly something you would call friendly and Restan was never much looking forward to his next, but there was something about her that didn't make him want to throw her down some hole and bury her. But even so, Restan was too proud and stubborn to accept help or sympathy from anyone. But as he rolled to his side, he nearly looked like a wounded dog retreating from its' abusive owner. His movements were slow and they almost seemed mechanical. It was safe to say that Restan was not completely back to this world, there was a piece of him that was still hanging onto and in that nightmare. He had heard her mention something about a scar. It made him grit his teeth and close his eyes. It was all becoming too real. "I'm fine. Just a flesh wound." He knew how lame that sounded and that she wouldn't but it, but he felt he needed to say something. Make sure he was really here.
If her annoyingly familiar voice wasn't proof enough that he was, then that damned buzzing in his head was. He stumbled some onto a tree. It was a constant pressure it seemed on his brain. He was sure something was bruising his mind. The buzzing was making it hard for him to concentrate on anything. He nearly wanted to go back to sleep. Closing his eyes he leaned against a tree and leaned his head back. "As if my life didn't suck enough already."

When it's dark enough outside,Starr glared Restan when he gave her his answer. Really, is that the best he could come up with, a flesh wound? Come on, Restan could do better than that. Viv's hazel eyes narrowed at the Lizard shifter again as he began to get on her nerves. "Don't lie to me, Lizard boy, Starr practically hissed at him. Honestly, Restan made it really hard to sympathize with him. "I'm not blind you know, I can see the blood coming down from that wound of yours," she added, backing up a bit as he got himself up. It was strange to see Restan like that, so slow and weak. Whoever or whatever did this to him must have really did their job, because Restan looked like he was worse for the wear. A wave of sympathy overtook her again as she debated whether to help him up or not. Just the way he was acting made her want to reach out to him, but something told her that Restan would just snap at her or get ticked. Her seemed like one of those manly men who are all independent and crud. Ugh, men, she rolled her eyes at the thought, men always so reluctant to ask for any help. Honestly, would it kill them just to say that they need some sort of assistance once and awhile?
Starr gave Restan a brief glance of concern as he hauled himself up and leaned on a nearby tree. "As if my life didn't suck enough already." The Delta huffed at the comment and leaned next to him, her hazel eyes peering up at his emerald ones. "Trust me, you're not the only one," she responded, though she wasn't exactly sure the comment was directed to her. But who did she care? She was going to answer it whether he liked it or not, sort of revenge for ditching her and going and doing whatever the heck he did to get the scar on his head. There was a brief silence between the two as Starr hovered there, not planning to budge an inch anytime soon. She wanted to know where the heck that stupid lizard shifter had run off to and she planned on getting some answers one way or another. Starr looked up at him again and glared. "You know, I'm not leaving until I get some answers," she cleared up, destroying any hopes he may of had of just ignoring her and hoping she would go away. Oh no, Restan wasn't getting off that easy. "Where did you go Restan?" She asked, this time expecting the real answer. And how exactly did u get this?" Starr pointed to the long gash that was beginning to stop oozing. She winced a bit at the sight but managed to control her desire to right out gag. That was one heck of a doosey, and Starr couldn't help but wonder who or what gave it to him.

And I don't want the world to see me Cause I don't think that they'd understand_______________________________ People had different ways of dealing with their pain. So would close off from the world and wallow in it, while others exploded and yelled. Some ate it away and some cried it away. Hell, some even resorted to self mutilation; trade one pain for another. Restan had never truly dealt with pain or his own emotions. He was always told how to feel and act; he forever wanted the freedom to be able to sort out his own problems and pain. But now that he has it he nearly wishes for the yelling and demanding voices back to tell him what to do. He knew how others dealt with pain. His mother would hold her head high and stay in her study all day reading. She said it relaxed her and gave her time to think. His father on the other hand exploded into a state of fury and frustration. Restan even knew how Chiara dealt with her problems. She would clench her fists, bite her bottom lip and put all the blame on him. She dealt with it by blaming it all on him. But Restan was ok with this, he knew how to deal with her problems and it made him avoid his. But now he was truly alone and for the first time was unsure what to do. Living with such different people and habits made it hard for Restan to handle this sort of thing. He almost wanted to tell Starr about the dream and the faint blurs he could remember, but then he wanted to close off and shut down.
He could see her out of the corner of his eyes, but never gave her his full attention. There was almost a strain in him. His body was fighting with itself whether to turn and face her or keep looking forward. He was familiar with her stubbornness and knew she would keep her word and not leave, but the feeling he has behind that was what was confusing him. He didn't want her to go and he didn't know why. And not knowing was just adding to his confusion, which was fueling the anger that was bubbling beneath. Turning his head he looked at her for a moment before his eyes ducked down onto the ground. "I don't know......I can't remember." The first words of his sentence were spoken softly, but when he admitted he couldn't remember he gritted his teeth and clenched his fists. It seemed if Restan couldn't make the decision fully of what to do,then it would be made for him.
Any emotion that was ever there soon vanished and his features once again became stony. He was retreating back into the dark, but for some reason he found comfort there. He found it there because he couldn't find it out here. He didn't have to remember to know what happened and where he was. Sliding down to sit at the bottom of the tree,he looked in the other direction. "I don't want to remember....."

When it's dark enough outside,Starr had always been good about hiding her emotions, keeping up a stone wall of stoicism in order to protect herself from getting hurt. That's all emotions did to people, get them hurt. Hate, envy, depression, even happiness and love in the end will only make the pain in one's heart grow more. Vivian had learned this through first hand experience, and one could tell that she believed it to her very core. It was the sole reason why she didn't talk to many people outside of her superiors and Restan, because the more people one gets close to the more chance one is going to get hurt; the last thing Starr needed right now was more emotion baggage to carry around. Yet here she was, leaning on a tree with the depressed and confused Head of Border Control. The temporary Beta should just leave Restan there to think about want happened on his own; the lizard shifter would eventually come back and then he could make up for all the time he has been gone. But, for some odd reason, Starr found that she couldn't leave him there. She really ought to, for disappearing out of the blue like that, give him a taste of his own medicine. But, she couldn't. Something told her that she should stay a little longer, that she should try and help him despite his protests. In her head she told herself that she was only staying out of curiosity of want kept him away so long -- that she was only helping him because he would be no help to their Ring if he was depressed, but their seemed to be some other reason there, some other reason that she couldn't quite pin. A long sigh escaped her pink lips as she pinched the bridge of her nose in an attempt to clear out her thoughts. For Pete's sake, why was it always so hard for Starr to sort out and hide her feelings whenever she was around Restan? Well, whatever the reason was, it was really starting to get on Starr's nerves.
"I don't know......I can't remember." Starr turned back towards Restan when he finally gathered himself up enough to answer her question. Despite her attempt to keep her "I-really-don't-care" appearance, the sympathy she felt for the man was clearly written on her face. "It must have been pretty bad for you to forget it," Starr muttered, mostly to herself. Usually when an event it really traumatizing, the brain tries it' best to suppress it so it doesn't have to cope with whatever pain it happens to bring along with it. What sort of pain could Restan have been put through that would make his body think that he couldn't handle it? Starr's hazel eyes followed Restan as he sank to the base of the tree, and by the stony mask he wore on his face Starr could only assume that he closing himself up again.
"I don't want to remember....." Starr gave Restan a concerned look before biting her lip and turning her head away. She wrapped her arms around her chest, tightly gripping the fabric of the long sleeved, plaid over-shirt she always wore before stinking down beside him. Her eyes traveling down to her lap for a moment, awkwardly picking at the chain that fell loosely from one of her belt loops, then turned back to Restan. "Well," Starr began, "maybe talking about it will help you feel better? I mean, bottling it up will only make the pain worse." The eighteen year old stretched her arms out to her ankles and gripped them tightly. "I don't really have anywhere else to be anyway, so I don't mind listening" As she was saying it, her focus went back to her lap, far too embarrassed to actually look at him. Restan should count himself lucky, Starr normally didn't stick around when people were moping about, it just made her feel depressed, too. But she just really wanted to know what happened, and Starr planned on finding out one way or another.
Viv tucked a stray hair behind her ear before putting her attention on the Head of Border, hoping that he would give her a bit more than "I can't remember." But, when Restan didn't turn around to face her, Starr began to get ticked again. "You know, you might as well just tell me," Starr stated matter-of-factly, her eyes narrowing at him in the process, "That chances that you'll actually find someone else who's willing to listen are slim." She huffed a bit and crossed her arms, putting all of her weight on the tree behind her. "At least look at me when I'm trying to talk to you," she hissed out in annoyance. For heaven's sake, she was trying trying to help the guy, the least he could do was look at her. Was that really so hard for him to do? Whatever, he could keep silent for all for as long as he wanted. However, if he wanted to get rid of Starr and her constant nagging, then he better start talking to her and look at her in the process. She wasn't going anywhere anytime soon, and Restan could bet his life on it.
ooc: Woot! I finally got it up, and just in time, too. Happy St. Patrick's Day! xDD you can see the STARRs.

That constant buzzing was getting louder and it was making Restans head ache and throb. He could barely hear the hissing words of Star, but she only added to th pressuring pain that wreaked havoc around in his head. He couldn't understand why she was so hell bent on knowing what happened, for Christ sakes he old her he couldn't remember. He had a large gash across his forehead and a massive headache. Talking was not something he wanted to do; he never wanted to do it when he was his normal self. Whirling around my eyes narrowed on the Delta. “What is it with you? What don't you understand about me not wanting to talk about it!” He all but hissed at her and almost growled. He didn't want to be here, didn't want to spill his guts. Restan was cold blooded and he acted it. He didn't socialize and he didn't talk to others. He didn't like sharing feelings with others; his problems were his and he didn't want to know anyone else's.
Rolling his eyes,he shook his head.“What makes you think I will actually go looking for someone to talk to!” By now Restan was yelling. Part from his temper and the other to talk louder than the buzzing that was drowning out his own thoughts. Grabbing his head he stood up. It felt like flies were buzzing in his head. “I just want it to stop. I want it to all just stop!”

When it's dark enough outside, “What is it with you? What don't you understand about me not wanting to talk about it!” Starr narrowed her eyes back at Restan as he began to yell at her, his frustration with the situation evident in his tone of voice. What the heck was wrong with this guy? All Starr was trying to do was help Restan figure out what happened to him, and she was determined to help him whether he liked it or not. However, this time she decided not to anger him even more by screaming back at him like she wanted to do so badly. Oh how much she wanted to hiss back at the man, but that would only make the situation worse. Vivian bit her lip and took a deep breath before replying. "Look, I just want to help you figure this out," She responded calmly, her face just as stony as his was before, "That's all, so calm yourself." For once, Starr was actually able to maintain that composer that she so easily lost when around the Head of Border and that she was so famous in her Ring for, the facade she put up for everyone that she wasn't close to.
“What makes you think I will actually go looking for someone to talk to!” Once again, Starr had to contain the venom that she so badly wanted to spit back at him. The fact that Restan bellowed his reply at her didn't help the situation either. "Like I said before," Starr reiterated, her fist clenching up as she did so, "You might feel better if you just let it all out." For Pete’s sake, why was Restan being so aggravating? It was so strange how one he could make Starr feel so relaxed, then the next he could make her feel so tense and ticked off! Honestly, was it so hard to just tell her? Though in truth, Starr shouldn’t be the one talking, she was always bottling up her own emotions so she never had to deal with them. So why was Starr so bent on getting him to spill his guts when if she was in Restan’s place she probably wouldn’t have said anything either? Vivian honestly had no idea, but it really didn’t matter to her at the moment. She just wanted Restan to talk to her, hoping maybe that he would trust her enough to tell her what was on his mind, what was bothering him so much.
Once again, Starr’s anger evaporated as Restan shot up and began clutching his head. "Want what to stop, Restan?" Starr asked with concern. This time it was Restan who was having the mental break down, and Starr wasn’t exactly sure what she was supposed to do. Wait…oh duh, how could Starr forget? Vivian immediately stood up and grabbed his wrists, yanking them down from his head. "Stop struggling for one second," she hissed at him when he tried to release his hands from her tight grip, "You’re just going to have to trust me." Starr took a deep breath and closed her eyes, trying to calm herself down and muster up enough of the emotion to pump into him. Yes, Starr had acquired empathy quite some time ago, curtsy of the Keepers. She had used it during the raid to try and calm some of the freaked out Tenderfoots, and she figured it would work now on Restan. Then, when he was calmer and more relaxed, then maybe they could figure out what was going on. But when Starr actually tried to transfer the emotion, she found she couldn’t. The temporary Beta could feel her empathy being blocked as she tried to give the emotion to him. Her eyes opened, and she gave Restan a confused look. "What the..." Why didn’t it work? Starr quickly let go of Restan’s wrists and gently grabbed his head, trying to use her empathy again. The result was the same.
Starr’s brow furrowed at the realization that he was somehow blocking the emotion transfer. Letting go of Restan, Starr grabbed her own chin in thought, looking away from him for a moment. Not many people could do that, only those with…no it couldn’t be. Her hazel eyes shot back up to his emerald ones. "I think I have an idea of what’s going on but I need to test it first," Starr told him, all seriousness in her tone. "I need you to concentrate on me, okay? I know it sounds weird but just do it." She gazed up at him for a moment, making sure that he was actually doing what she had requested. Restan, can you hear me? She thought, waiting to see if he actually replied.

And I don't want the world to see me Cause I don't think that they'd understand_______________________________ He struggled. It was in his nature and being grabbed like she did made him feel trapped. If you have looked at a lizard once caught you will notice their chests heaving and eyes darting around---being trapped was not something a lizard dealt well with. Restan was no different. He could feel something pushing on his mind, but he would not let it in. He wasn't even aware of what he was doing, he just didn't want it there. His eyes were closed tightly, not looking at Starr as she gripped his wrists. His forehead burned from the images that were flashing through his mind. Restan never panicked, or let others see when he did and doing something for so long becomes instinct. He was panicking, but he seemed somewhat calm on the outside. He didn't need her help...no no no no no...then his eyes opened. It was a sudden shock to have her hands placed on his face and first he tried to pull back to only be met with stinging pain of her nails gripped the skin. Now wasn't the best time for this observation, but she has a vice like grip. It was slightly painful, but it got him to be still if only for a moment. And there was still that pressure and like before Restan closed his eyes; willing it gone. And then it was and so was the pressure on his head. He stepped back from her and rubbed at his temples and looked at her through slightly narrowed eyes. He still didn't like touching.
Brow raising,Restan stared at her like she had gone insane, but the entire time he was screaming on the inside for her to just spit it out. What's wrong with me! But yelling wouldn't and hadn't made her leave and it was giving him a headache. Instead he just gave up,focusing on her , but there was still a look of confusion etched onto his face. What good would silence and staring at her do? Now he was getting irritated and his mouth opened to begin the next set of yells he has, but it promptly shut. What was that?! It sounded like Starr, but in his head! His eyes were locked on her, but he wasn't looking like some deer in headlights. His was a curios expression and he took one step to-wards her. "Yeah,I heard you."

When it's dark enough outside,"Yeah,I heard you." Yep, just as Starr had thought; it would explain the intense (or what looked like it) pain in his head, the screaming, the scar on his forehead, and why he went missing for so long. "Well, I think that just about proves it," she responded simply a slight smirk on her face, "Congratulations, Lizard-boy, you're a telepathic." It was the only explanation, no one other than telepathics could block empathy, that's just how things worked around the Menagerie. Starr didn't exactly knew how they do it, but they did. Oh wonderful, now Restan going to be able to read minds and predict peoples moves ahead of time in battle. No one around him is going to get any privacy, at all. Just fantastic.
"The Keepers must have taken you captive and done experiments on you, like they do with everyone else in this dump," she continued. Starr leaned sideways on the tree so that her left side was pressed against the bark and the other was out in the open. Her arms were loosely crossed over her chest, and she seemed relaxed, almost comfortable. It had been a while since she had seen him, and she was sort of hoping for another sarcastic conversation like back at the Iron Curtain. Though he had been a complete and total jerk, she had to admit that she did have fun. "You must be really special for the Keepers to pick you of people for such a fantastic power," she said with a smirk. Viv couldn't help but let the sarcastic comment slip from her pink lips; that happened a lot when she hung around him.
Her eyes wandered back up to that gash across his forehead, the blood around it already dry and crusty. She couldn't help but flinch at the nastiness of it; she was so tempted to drag Restan to the nearest water source and clean it up. But of course, that would be weird. Plus, she shouldn't care about what sort of self mutilation he gave himself; it was his own prerogative. However, she still kinda did though...as weird as it sounded. "I don't know what you did Restan, but you must have ticked that Keeper off pretty bad to get that kind of gash," she commented, motioning to the scar, "I've seen plenty of telapathics around, and never seen one with a scar like that."

And I don't want the world to see me Cause I don't think that they'd understand_______________________________ So that was it? Restan has to let it sink in--Telepathy? That was something you read about in comics and saw in X-men movies, he never thought it could be real or that he would have it. Then again he didn't think turning into a lizard would be possible either, and yet here he stood. He didn't want to be standing here, but yet here is where he was. Just knowing what it was...why everything was buzzing seemed to numb. By hell it was gone, he could never get that lucky, but at least he could hear whispers of his own thoughts. But then there was a loud burst of voices, then again it numbed and the process repeated. It seemed he had some getting use to,to do. Did it ever really help to close your eyes? Was it ever proven to be a physical help, or just one you mentally thought? Either way it helped Restan. By now he had stopped shaking and he was breathing normal again. He had to smirk on the inside. Chiara would kill him if he knew what was happening in her mind. There was a bright side to this. He was also going to be able to predict an opponents moves and reverse them. That famous smirk Restan is so known for began to spread across his lips. Of course she had to ruin it. Her little sarcastic comment made him peek his eye open and swivel his head to look at her. "Don't be jealous." It never did take Restan long to recover.
His mood changed. Just like it had been doing alot that night. He wasn't afraid of the keepers and even after this he held no fear, but he did caution them. He also hated them, but that was general for everyone here. He touched the gash and kept any emotion that it in of stung off his face. He then matched her position and leaned against a tree with arms crossed--cocky grin. "What can I say? I am just well liked." He felt comfortable throwing sarcastic comments back and forth with her--much better than having to talk about his emotions. Which he would forever deny to do.

When it's dark enough outside,Starr rolled her hazel eyes at Restan’s comeback. "Oh yes, I’m so very jealous. Can’t you tell?" She chuckled a bit, a genuine smile gracing her face for only a moment before switching back into a smirk. Gosh, Restan was just too much fun. "Please, the bat shifter continued, looking up at the Head of Border, "I’m quite content with my empathy, thank you very much. It’s so much more fun than just plain old telepathy." Despite her joking manner, Starr was being honest. Empathy was a whole lot more fun because you could mess around with the way people feel, which in turn could actually change their opinions and beliefs about something. It was probably the closest thing to mind control anyone in the Menagerie could get. If you even used it in that way, which Starr normally didn’t. Vivian only used Empathy when she was trying to calm someone down and think rationally, though realistically she could use it for a heck of a lot more. Her eyes sparkled a bit with playful mischief as she waited for Restan to respond, wondering where this conversation would take them.
Starr watched Restan touch the gash on his forehead, the same calm expression he always had was stuck on his face. Well, at least he wasn’t having a mental breakdown anymore. Vivian almost hoped that now that Restan was calm, he’d be able to finally tell her what was on his mind, though something told her that Restan would never spill what he was feeling and probably get furious at her if she mentioned it again. A sigh escaped her lips as her arms tighten more around her chest. Starr tucked a loose strand of raven hair behind her pierced ear, looking down for a brief moment. Though Starr didn’t know why, the fact that Restan didn’t trust her enough to tell her what was bothering him kind of hurt, even though she knew that she shouldn’t take it too personally. Though she hadn’t know Restan too long, Starr has gotten to know his sister a bit, and according to her Restan had about as much emotion as a rock. Doesn’t that just sound wonderful? However, Starr’s thoughts were interrupted as Restan spoke up again. "What can I say? I am just well liked." Starr rolled her eyes, the smirk coming back to her pale face. "I can defiantly see that," she replied the worry she had before forgotten, "Because, you’re just that popular of a guy, let me tell you." Another chuckle drifted from Starr as she bit her lower lip in an attempt to not start laughing. Today was turing out to be a pretty decent day.
ooc: Sorry for taking so long. ><

And I don't want the world to see me Cause I don't think that they'd understand_______________________________ Restan chuckled right along with her. How it was going lately it seemed he was just that well liked and popular. Their little banter back and forth was making him forget his bump with the keepers. Bump? That wasn't the right word for it; he came out with a gash that would most likely leave a scar and telepathy! No, more than just a bump. More like a train wreck. Again his hand touched the gash and his face hardened. He didn't even want to think what this would mean for his sister. They were twins. Would they bring her in and do the same? See what happened between the twin shifters. Keep her to study? Drag him back in? He wanted answers, but he also didn't want the questions buzzing around in his head. He was being strong up until this point. He was literally shaking! He after so many years had let a wall down; something only his sister could ever do and apparently Starr; but god knows he didn't know that yet.
He sunk down with his head in his hands and green eyes just staring down. "What am I going to do?" It was meant to be a question to himself and not one to be voice, but it still was. He was having trouble keeping his own thoughts in his mind. He felt like his thoughts were being pushed out by others. Thankfully he wasn't hearing Starr's and he didn't want to. He didn't know why, but he was finding he actually cared about her opinion to-wards him and it angered him. He shouldn't care, but he did. His whole body just seemed to slump. As if his life wasn't already f**ked up enough. Now he was even more in the hole that the world was digging for him. Looking up, he glanced at Starr before looking out ahead and sighed. "Well here's hoping I'm the only Montevont popular." His mind was so lost that he didn't realize that she probably didn't know his last name or that he had a sister. And then as if remembering something,he looked to Starr with furrowed brows."Where's SEVEN?"

When it's dark enough outside,Starr's smile dropped when Restan's face hardened, his body beginning to shake. He seemed to be lost in thought again, though Starr could imagine how hard it was to do so when other people's thoughts were pushing their way into his mind as well. It must be so frustrating, to have one's last place of privacy overrun by thoughts that don't belong to you, thoughts that you might not want to be there. Telepathy was probably one of the worse powers the Keepers could give to a shifter, not because it wasn't an efficient or entertaining power but because of it's terrible side effects. The bat shifter had seen her share of shifters go completely insane because they could not handle the sacrifice that came with being a telepath. She wondered if Restan would even be able to handle it, be able to stay sane. If he keeps having breakdowns like this, Starr wasn't sure if he would make it. Or maybe his stubborn-headed nature and his determination would push him through? Man, Starr really did hope so.
"What am I going to do?" For what seemed like the fiftieth time that day, Starr sighed. Even though she wasn't sure that the question was directed at her, Starr figured that since she had answered all of his other questions why not throw her two cents in? Starr shifted the position so that her back was pressing against the rough bark of the tree. The Delta did not bother to sit down next to Restan since the Head of Border would probably just end up standing again. It had become tiring, sitting down only to stand up when Restan found that his position was uncomfortable. Maybe he was just antsy from being locked up by the Keepers for so long? Or maybe Starr was just looking at things too deeply again. She tended to do that a lot. Arms still folded firmly over her chest, Starr looked out toward the park, not even bothering to look down at Restan as she spoke. "Well, there is nothing you really can do," She pointed out, her normal pessimism setting in, "No matter what you do, you're going to be stuck with this new power." Starr peer down at Restan for a moment as she continued. "Really the only thing you can do is accept it and learn to live with it; learn to control it and not to let it control you." With a bit of hesitation, Starr placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "It may seem frustrating and chaotic at first, but trust me, it will get better before it will get worse." The last part she said with a little chuckle, hoping to lighten up the mood somewhat. It was strange for Starr, to try and comfort somebody when Starr was normally the one who needed the comforting. But, she mused, that even the most brooding person has their moment. "What is this, you're third mood swing so far?" Starr contiuned with a smirk, the humor evident in her tone, "Geeze, I think you broke my record." Starr smiled a bit at Restan's comment, so the Lizard-boy did have heart. "Oh don't worry about Chiara, Restan," Starr assured him with a light smile, "She's a big girl and can take care of herself, you'd be very surprised." The Delta blew some of her raven hair out for her face, with slight annoyance once she was done talking. Couldn't they just stay tucked behind her ear like a good little hair strands?
"Where's SEVEN?" The randomness of the question threw Starr through a loop, but at least she could answer this question with complete certainty. "Seven is back in Gospel Tower," she told him, looking down at Restan with a suddenly serious face. "It was weird, a few days after you disappeared, I walked in my room to find Seven all curled up on my bed..." She raised an eyebrow at the Head of Border, as if he could explain why Seven had been in her room and how Seven even knew where her room was. "That's when I started worri--" Starr stopped herself and blinked in confusion, "--wondering where you could have run off that Seven wouldn't follow you to." She looked away from Restan, as if she could hide her weird slip up if she didn't look at him. "Um...I've been taking care of him since you left though, so you don't have to worry about him either." All of a sudden Starr found herself feeling extremely awkward. Why she felt so embarrassed she wasn't sure, but Starr hoped she could get over it quick before something else weird happened.
ooc: Omg, I'm so sorry of making you wait for so long. DDx *shoots self* you can see the STARRs.

And I don't want the world to see me Cause I don't think that they'd understand_______________________________ Restan listened to her,but the words were in and out. He got the part where she told him to accept this power and in other words get over it. He snorted some at her tact of 'comforting' him. Yes, he felt better already. Sighing heavily Restan just nodded somewhat hoping she would stop talking. Surprisingly it wasn't the fact he didn't want her to just leave, but his head was throbbing with a dull ache that frequently flared into an all out flame of pain and noise. He couldn't concentrate on both. He felt somewhat...exposed to Starr. She was perhaps the first who ever saw him nearly or actually have a breakdown; he nearly came to tears in front of her. In his mind he would very much like to forget this ever happened, but he doubted she would. He smiled, no not smirked but smiled at her mood comment. It was an odd expression on Restans face. He genuinely for a moment looked happy and sincere. "Well...she has her moments, but I still don't trust her...choices." He cast a sideways glance with a raised brow to-wards Starr and winked at her. Was Restan flirting?
Gritting his teeth he decided it was time to go before he did something he might regret. He winced slightly. Adrenalin was draining from his body and he found it achy and tired. He offered his hand out to Starr to help her from her position and smirked. "I'll be sure to get him. I kind of miss the reptile." The last thing Restan did would shock them both, but could hold the smug and somewhat charming smirk and expression. He brought her hand to his lips to gently place a kiss there and once again winked. He didn't wait for a reaction before he turned on his heel and once again Restan walked away from Starr.
(*snix* Dont you love him?!)
