It was a bad idea to wonder away from the strange man and his farm, but Estelle couldn't help herself. She learned multiple times that when she was alone with herself, bad things happened, yet time after time she found herself alone and walking around aimlessly. This place seemed so quiet and peaceful, Estelle couldn't imagine anything bad happening here. There was no a soul in site-- or at least from where she was standing. She looked like a small, helpless baby goat who had lost their mother. Being so small, maybe she would remain detected or maybe it would be worse than being obvious because after all she was vulnerable to anyone watching.
She leaned over and clasped a mouthful of freshly grown grass into her mouth and swallowed. It was funny how situations changed when it came to her goat form or her human form. You could never make her eat grass if she were in human form. Yet when she was on four legs, she could care less. Her taste in food would change, along with her body and abilities. She wondered what her Mama would think of her if she ever knew what her daughter really was. Her older brother said she would be scared of them, that she would see them as monsters, but Estelle knew her better than that. Her mother loved them both very much and would accept them for who they were even if they were "Shifters" as Yves described.
The sound of a twig snapping sent her long, black and white ears pricking at the sound. She turned her head, her muscles already stiffening with stress and fear as she looked around. Was it in her mind or was it real? She wondered whether she should shift or not. If she were to face a Shifter, she may have to run as far as she could again. There were some mentally unstable people out there, people that reminded her of the man who took advantage of her Mother's trust and touched Estelle. They weren't going to see Estelle in that way though, she knew that, but there were still people out there who seek to harm others. Maybe staying in her goat form would be best. It was her goat form that saved her from starvation. If she hadn't stumbled upon the funny man who was missing body parts and spoke in some language she didn't know, he wouldn't have taken her in and settled her on the farm with him. She knew it was wrong to pretend that she really /was/ a goat, but sometimes pretending helped her escape life. Beside, he was kind to her and slowly she began to feel like she was safe again even without her Mama or Yves being there.
A violent shake in the grass had Estelle roll to her side. Her legs had turned to solid wood, unmoving and stiff as she looked up fearfully and baahed. Someone was watching her, she knew it. With what little strength she had, she shifted and pushed herself onto her feet. She slipped and fell when she took her first few frantic steps. Her legs were still stiff even though she was no longer on all fours. A low growl had her gasping quietly and ripping the grass between her balled fists as she hurled herself forward, pushing through the tall grass to escape. Though she could never see what was chasing behind her, she could hear it moving swiftly through the grass as she ran. The grass was taller than herself, giving her no idea where she was going. All she knew was that she needed to get away. She needed help!
Falling out of the tall grass, she stumbled onto the ground with a yelp and rolled to the ground. Both of her knees bangs and hit the sharp rocks embedded in the dirt, cutting them open. She hit her head on the floor as she fell back. Her chest heaved, out of breath while she closed her eyes tightly. Tears slid down her cheeks as she whined softly. The stinging pain spread throughout her legs as she glanced down and saw blood. "Mama!" She cried softly to herself, wishing she would see her Mother come running out of the tall grass she had fell out of and picked her up and carried her back home. The shaking sounds in the grass had stopped once she had gotten out of it, making her feel completely alone and isolated from the world. She slowly sat up, dirt dusting the back of her clothing and brought her legs towards her. A browny red oozed from behind the fabric of her jeans. She closed her eyes again, unwilling to look at it knowing it would just feel worse and instead whimpered painfully to herself again. "Mama!"
OOC; sorry for the wait but here it is >D LET THE CUTENESS BEGINNNN.
