PERSONALITY TRAITS: Quick witted, sarcastic and never at a loss for a witty comeback, Mack is always in disregard for authority - not blatantly disrespectful, but just enough to earn her several demerits. Nevertheless, her ability to fearlessly enter The Menagerie (often unaccompanied by a security officer) and fix what needs to be fixed (whether it be security camera or any type of surveillance device) without hesitation or fear at the thought of being mauled by the Shifters; now that is pretty admirable. She is able to get herself out of almost any situation, and, despite her small size she can pack quite a punch.
She dislikes being involved in others lives unless she personally has an interest in them, making it hard for her to care when a Shifter randomly tries to spill their life story to try and get her to let them go. It was never her decision who they brought in in the first place, why would she have a say in who goes? Even so, she never quite understood the whole shifter ability to turn into an animal. Sure, it was cool (it those fantasy books you rent from the library) in a way, but the fact that she had in in her head that the Keepers did this (somehow) on purpose ... well she just tried not to think about it too often.
KNOWN HISTORY: Mack tried to be a girly girl for the sake of her dad, always having been a daddy's girl, but it always ended up with her outdoing or punching out the guy she was with. It wasn't that she was particularly fond of the male gender in the first place, at least when it came to romantic intentions, but she figured focusing on school first; the rest would fall into place later.
Always having been a bit rambunctious, unpredictable and a thoroughly quirky girl, she fit in well with the guy crowd when it came to the mechanic classes. She never seemed to do well with respecting her teachers opinions if she found out they were wrong in a situation; which made it a surprise that she actually passed all her classes. Having expected to look for a job for awhile out of college, she was handed an application to UNIT by a friend of hers - which she happily filled out along with the rest of her applications. She never expected the interview when she walked in to place in on the desk in the front office, or the call later that day to hire her.
Working with UNIT in the beginning, and now in the labs of the Menagerie, was all a fly-by ride for her. She never expected to be in the midst of one of the most controversial subjects in the world; let alone involved in it. She usually tried to keep her nose clean of personal anything with ANY Shifters though; it just sucked for them that life sh*t on their parade. She just liked her job and didn't like to understand things other than what made sense. And shifters just didn't make any sense - let alone those viruses.
Although specifically a technical analyst, Mack also specializes in unit repair - meaning she is able to fix broken technologies on the spot. For this reason, she is not often contained in the strict confines of the Analysis Quadrant. She is also a mechanical engineer.
