PERSONALITY TRAITS:
Pompeii has a very flat, robotic demeanor. She doesn't use facial expressions and her voice is monotone. She is very logical and analytical, and this far doesn't have much emotion. When she runs from something, it's because she figures her odds of fighting and winning aren't good. She isn't the least bit aggressive; at most she may experience mild annoyance.

Recently, however, she has been developing some feelings. They just don't have a lot of influence on the virus' actions. She certainly wonders what they are, and is interested in evoking situations where she gets them, to try and figured them out, but doesn't see much reason to follow them. The main exception is enjoyment; as long as it's not dangerous, she doesn't see any problem doing things that make her feel happy. It's a dull form of happiness, though, and she doesn't know what it's called.

One of the things she is starting to enjoy is research. She's very curious, and wants to learn. She thinks of the Keepers as 'the good guys,' and she knows she's supposed to kill the 'abominations.' She doesn't know why it's that way, and for now the most reasonable path is to follow her instructions. But she wants very much to know what's going on.

One she catches and infects a victim, she often will trap them and try to talk to them. She watches, she analyzes, she tries to understand all these new things that she never experienced in the labs. And Pompeii can be rather cruel with her catches. This does not stem so much from sadism as it does an interest in how pain works, and a lack of desire to experiment with it on herself.

Physical attributes and characteristics

BODY BUILD: She's pretty sturdy. Due to her recent release, she has a well-fed look to her.
HAIR: Peipei's hair is black, thick, and very wavy, almost curly. It comes down to about her jaw.
EYES: She has the wide, sulfur-yellow eyes of an aye-aye.
SKIN COLOR: The brown and white stripes of a lionfish.
MUTATIONS: In addition to the above, she has the ears, tail, and long, bony fingers of an aye-aye. The front of her lower arms have scales, and her back has ridges of them as well.
SYMPTOMS: Nocardiosis starts as a lung infection. Victims experience chest pains, fever, lethargy, night sweats, and weight loss due to a lack of appetite. Coughing produces thick, sometimes bloody mucus.
The infection can get into the blood and spread throughout the body. When this occurs, abscesses will often form in the brain, causing headaches, confusion, dizziness, and seizures. It can also lead to a form of meningitis if these abscesses pop.
However, any part of the body can be infected. In the skin it can cause cellulitis, mycetoma, or in rare cases, lesions. Abscesses form anywhere from the skin to the internal organs. The victim can also develop empyema, or pus in anatomical cavities. Most often this occurs in the pleural cavity, which makes breathing painful. The eyes, heart, bones, or muscles may be damaged. In rare cases, the victim may develop keratitis.
Even with treatment, sufferers have a fifty-fifty chance of survival. Chances are even slimmer if the brain is infected.
ANIMAL SHIFT: Pompeii takes the form of a large, sleek dog with the head of a caiman. The ears and tail are that of an aye-aye. She had the stripes of a lionfish, as well as its pectoral fins jutting from her shoulders.
APPAREL: A dark blue tiered skirt, light blue peasant top, and grey flats.
